I have something id like to throw out here. Basically when you download a file from any filehost it creates a .part file for the download and if the download is a video file (ex. avi) vlc can actually play it in effect streaming it. If xbmc's player could play these files wouldn't you be able to leverage this to make this addon quite easy to make? The only thing i can see u needing is a way to enable premium accounts. It may even make this addon redundant and need something new to handle something like that im not sure im basically just brainstorming here. I would like your thoughts though.

That handles files that you download from places such as megaupload etc. and I believe a part file is something browsers like Firefox creates?

I assumed the idea of this addon was to support not just these, but streaming sites as well? You are not actually downloading those streams in the same sense

hey kalel,

part files are not something created by filehosts.... they are created by the downloading program when downloading a file from a http link.

u would still need to resolve a filehosts page to get the direct link to the file. the direct link to the file can then be treated as a standard http file link.

This sounds like exactly what I am looking for and the work seems to be mostly doneHuh

I am looking for a plugin to allow me to stream video files from my Megaupload premium account to XBMC on ATV2.

I have managed to install this module but nothing shows up in any menu in XBMC so I am not sure how to use it?

Can someone please provide some instructions on how I might be able to get this to work with Megaupload?

Thanks...
