I'm trying to integrate XBMC into my HTPC and I'm having issues.

about a minute or two after starting XBMC it crashes.

I would guess F:\dvd-list\Library\Library rar\Star Trek rar\Star Trek.part1.rar is corrupt. Try moving it somewhere out of the folders XBMC scans.

thank you. Will XBMC have a problem with RAR files in general? I'll admit my video folder is a mess as I often move other files into there. that rar file is a collection of ebooks.

Well XBMC should just crash, regardless of how mangled the rar is. I don't know this bit of the code well, but I think we use an external RAR library, so there may be bugs in the code we haven't written. Naturally there are never bugs in anything we write :-)
