I believe you will find the solution to your particular issue.. in this Wiki
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=How...e_Scrapers
You have to set content for the scraper to get on with it.

it's clear people get tripped up on versions, types, OS, and hardware...de-install your version then go here if things fall apart.

http://xbmc.org/download/ (grab the latest stable release for your O/S)

and then use this for your guide.

i have an old version of xbmc rev 23863 and the navi-x is 3.0 rc the main thing i tr to use at present is the media portal--a few things work but most just sits there says lpading but nothing.i know i need to upgrade.have tried 8 or 10 times to download differant versions but cant get the navi-x to show up in new xbmc download.i have lots to add to this media wise but first i need to be able to use the media portal. i downloaded new navi-x went to settings--addons--and searched for zip found and downloaded ---it shows up in programs however it does nothing---in my old xbmc i click on scripts.in new versions i download i see no scripts or a folder for them .what am i doing wrong--been at this for 24 hours now---i am not interested in adding media at present--just want to use the portal to watch others movies

Not sure about Navi-X, I see that the support forum here is kinda old, and I don't stray to far from the official repository, or at least I'm on my guard with other stuff. Not sure of the hardware you're running, but if it's and old X-Box; Dharma has branched and left that hardware behind here.. There is support for it, from alternate forums (do a google search for it). There's plenty of streaming sources that work out of the box for updated versions, supported in this forum if you can run hardware that utilizes XBMC and mostly Dharma, but there is plenty of users still using older versions who can help you out with specifics.

Check the wiki again, and http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=42708

Ah 60 and half blind... (you must be loaded Smile Well I tried Navi-X latest version and it worked like a charm.. but I can see there is stuff to still be ironed out. I had a couple of freezes and some fits & starts before I got the whole jist of it all.

The code script is pretty daunting.. not something I can just point to and say fix this or that. From my perspective... your scenario is better handled with fresh software.. latest updates after you get everything cooking, try to install a plugin or two... once that is operational.. you might try the latest Navi-X script. It's kinda like a house of cards... pretty fragile at the moment. It looks like there is a combined version of XBMC and Navi-X, but it would be unsupported from this forum.. While the script I grabbed, just worked.. on my Win 7 /64 system.

Latest Version: 3.5.4 for XBMC

http://website.navi-x.org/downloads.html You might have better luck in the forums over there.

Install by going into plugins, add from archive... browse to zip. Call it in programs.... or make a skin button for it, call it from programs.

Well if you have installed it, then you have to run it... a simple mouse click on it should have it come alive, at least that's how it worked for me in the skin Transparency! (all the rest is just making a home screen button for it, but you have to get it running first.) My presumption is that you did try an execute the program by clicking and it failed.. you might look at firewalls or something that would stop external access. At this point, I don't think I could help you as much as the Navi-X forums.

Probably due to streaming issues bandwidth etc... might want to do the download option for movies. I was actually quite surprised how well this script worked. Now you can get back to loading up. btw: I'm older than you.. and half as blind.
