I think it would be helpful to the community here if there was a for sale/trade forum where members could buy/sell/trade their HTPC equipment.
As an example, I have a gen 1 Apple TV with a crystal HD card installed that I am having a tough time selling on craigslist because nobody on there understands what they are buying. Being able to sell a specialized piece of hardware like that on this site would be a lot easier. Also, people are building and upgrading their HTPC's all the time and having a centralized place to purchase used HTPC parts and offload them to other members would benefit a lot of people here.
