I would ask in the Home Cinema Experience thread. Personally I hav enot encountered this problem (I am running XBMC under Win7/8)

With the changes to the Yahoo trailer site, I had to change the way I retrieve those trailers. For the last few version downloading trailers from Yahoo had to be disabled, I also corrected the scraping of the HD-Trailers.Net special pages (Most Watched, Coming Soon, etc) so they can be scraped as trailer feeds. Which page to scrape is specified in the config file.
Let me know is there are any issues or opportunities.

Unfortunately you need to parse out the webpage to locate the download links. I am not sure I have the time to work on this now.

I wish I could get to this but I just don't have the time right now. If you find someone to try, I would be glad to point them to the correct locations in the code and how to integrate into the project.
