Hey guys,
So I just setup sickbeard/couch/sab for a friend. For some reason the sickbeard exe would not run. Instead of troubleshooting that, I thought I'd try the git method as its outlined on the sickbeard site. It worked!
I managed to create a shortcut using pythonw.exe or whatever so that it runs on startup without the python console window showing. Great!
Now it seems like all I need to do to update his install is right click on the sickbeard folder, and select git sync? am I understanding this right? Will his settings and postprocessing folder be overwritten if I do that?
Now, I want to convert my own setup to that as well, since it seems to offer easier updating.
What else can I GIT?
Can I GIT XBMC? What about Sabnzbd?
Is it the same process for every program?
Thanks!
