nmat Wrote:Yes, you have to wait for an untethered jailbreak for 4.3. But why the rush? Just disable auto-update and you're ok.

The Auto-Update block in NITO Tv is causing XBMC to crash for a few of us.. We've had to turn the update ability back on and just say no to the updates..

Can't get more than 10 - 15 minutes into any vids before it bombs out.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

you've no need to start the tss service if you're just trying to get the blobs for your device saved.. But it also looks like you dont have the atv plugged in.. plug it in, start tu and it should detect it. then click the "save all shsh's" button.

I love you!

I guess hooking it up would help.

Anyone try the tethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3 (on their atv2)?

4.3 doesn't seem to buy the atv2 much unless you have another iOS device with 4.3 on it... unless you're a MLB/NBA fan.

Also 5.1 for Netflix, which is pretty significant.

trilidar Wrote:Thanks. That's what I was afraid of.

Could you please clarify the part about TinyUmbrella. From what I understand, it allows fw 'rollback'. I haven't updated ANYTHING and I've disabled iOS auto-update (just being paranoid).

It's to save the SHSH blobs so you can downgrade if needed. You may eventually need them for jailbreaking as well. If you didn't save them before 4.3 came out (ie today) then you cant save them (since Apple isn't signing 4.2.1 anymore)

So hope for a 4.3 untethered JB that doesn't require old SHSH blobs if you didn't run TinyUmbrella. And remember to always run it after every upgrade/jailbreak to be able to downgrade if needed.

FOR IOS: xbmc.log: /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/xbmc.log (be sure to enable debugging)
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

My ATV2 is used by my wife and young kids with parental controls..

I am afraid that if they get the update notification, which I got once, they will hit "yes" and I would lose everything...

I do have AppleTV Updates disabled at NitoTV though.. Will that protect me? How come I still got the notification if it's disabled?

My wife has been telling me though that XBMC would quit during playtime at random times, is this related? any solution?

BTW

NOTE: on greenpois0n twitter they said that:

If we enable it on Nito TV... And say "no" once, will it ask again?? Will it keep asking?

Thx.
