I know the rules say to don't post questions regarding the correct setup of build environments. Please bear with me if I post anyway.

I think I followed the wiki page to the letter. The project compiles without error but then when the debugger tries to run the xbmc.exe it gives the message:

Unable to start program ...

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express does not support debugging the code type specified by the project.

What can I do to solve this? Many thanks in advance.

I feel rather stupid. The problem is solved. The error was in Project/Properties/Configuration Properties/Debugging/Debugger Type.

Debugger Type was set to Script. Changing it to Auto resolved the problem.

I have no idea how it was set to Script. Propably changed it myself by mistake.
