[ATV2] Removing video sources in XBMC
#1
Hi all,

I'm running XBMC on my ATV2. Now I added some videos surces like UPNP device / shared MacBook folders etc.

Now the question: How can I remove them?

I searched ALLL the menu options but maybe not all :-)

Best Regards,
Andre

Option 1
- ssh into your atv2 and remove the appropriate entries in /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/sources.xml

Option 2
- run XBMC, go to Videos, hold the menu key down until the menu shows up
- edit/remove/add sources as you see fit

Its much simpler with a normal remote. Blame Apple for that stupid thing...
Server - Debain Squeeze Server + 6TB RAID5 + Sabnzbd + CP & SB
HTPC - Zotac MAG + 60GB Vertex 2 SSD + OpenELEC Frodo 12.1 + Aeon Nox
HTPC 2 - AppleTV 2

you are perfectly right :-)

But this is their philosophiy. As less buttons as possible... As simple as possible. For the "normal" Apple TV functionality this thing is ok and their philosophy is not wrong, but having more functionality as you have in XBMC, this thing is realllly not enough. So 1:1 for me/you and Cupertino :-)

Thanks from me too! Was really getting annoyed as I couldn't work out how to get the context menu up! Laugh

Thanks from me too

I used option 1,it gives great flexabilty and I also used this option to change the display names of the drives I was keeping and also added a few more that are attached to my Iomega NAS hub

BTW I actually find that FileZilla is a perfect tool to SSH on to the box,
