Trailer downloader
#1
Hi All,

I've searched high and low, and was wondering if anyone knew of a standalone app, that simple scans the list of movies in a folder or Subfolders and tries to grab the corresponding trailers from IMDB,HD-trailers.net,Apple,Yahoo etc etc. Or presents a list of matches for selection.

I know this is integrated in various other management software such as ember, however a simple solution just for this would be perfect.

thanks!

I'm also after something like this.

The reason I'm after this, is that when streaming via hd-trailers.net, there is a known stuttering issue. And I have also found that scraped IMDB trailers don't 'stick'. In other words, clicking to view the trailer works initially, but eventually stops working. The only way to get it working again, requires refreshing the movie info.

Media Companion gives you the option to download the trailer.

Paid version of Media Center Master might be a good option.

Absolutely brilliant! I've been using CP for a month and didn't see the "Download Trailers" option under Manage. Thanks, darkscout!

You could try changing the "Movie Destination" folder to your movie directory and then click on download trailers.

Just a warning to all, don't use HD-Trailers.net downloader. See my post here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=131003

Better to have said; Caution don't use HD-Trailers.net downloader without reading the information and setting parameters. The software works but not in everyone's hands, I do dislike that auto delete part of the program.. Grab a copy of "The Trailers" a plugin that should satisfy.
