Hi all,
Quick question, my HTPC connects to my AVR via HDMI and when I use windows media player for example to play an mp3 or the likes, the amp displays stereo being received, which is great as it means i can apply various soundfields to my preference (extend to 5.1, 7.1, all ch stereo, etc).
However, when playing a song through XBMC, instead of comming up as stereo, it comes through as "multichannel", which ultimatley comes out as stereo to my speakers. However as the amp is seeing it as multichannel, im limited to which sound fields I can apply through my AVR, so I was wondering if there was a way of disabling it sending the audio as multichannel??
Thanks
Grangey
