Hello

I have a Netgear ready nas duo with 1 tb hd (Seagate ST31000528AS). Now I want to uppgrade to 2x2 tb. So, the big question: which hd should I go for? I know I can check http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=82 to see what discs who are compatible, but I would appreciate some more specific recommendations.

My plan is to allso bye a usb cabinett for the old 1tb disk, and just disconnect it from the nas without transfer my files from the 1tb disc to one of the 2tb discs, and then change out the 1tb with the second 2tb. If you understand what im trying to say with my poor englishRolleyes And then use the old disk as an external disk.
Maybe you can recommend one of those cabinets aswell?

Thanks in advanceSmile

I have a couple of Samsung SpinPoint HD203WI 2TB's in mine and they work perfectly. I think you have to be careful with the newer HD204's, something to do with 4K sectors.
HTPC: Kodi on Windows 10 | Intel i3 540 with Noctua NH-U9B Cooler | 2x2Gb RAM | Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 | Silverstone LC17B Case | Antec PSU | Samsung SSD for OS | 2x2TB Samsung for Media + 3TB WD
TV: Panasonic 55" Plasma
