Ever since upgrading to Dharma I've had an issue whereby playing a H264-encoded video will not play sound via Optical (only HDMI), and anything played subsequently either via XBMC or on the aTV itself such as music etc will also not play through Optical. A restart is required to fix.
The problem is present for me with both 10.0 and the build which shows in launcher as 844c6c7.
Apologies if I'm missing relevant details - not a hardcore user, let me know if there are any more details needed.

Edit: I should add, I am using CrystalHD driver r174, and playback is on the whole very acceptable, albeit sound is only coming through my TV and not my speaker system.
Edit # 2: I have also found that restarting Finder will then restore sound to Optical (that is, until the next time I try to play a movie using CrystalHD).
