[old] Unofficial semi-nightly build FAQ/info/issues (here for archival purposes)
Question
Any update on official release date for this version?

IS SMB working on 4.3.1 with Unofficial semi-nightly build ?

Thanks
Arash
Anyone familiar with Web Interface not being complete?
TV Series is missing from the menu ... previous (unofficial) releases had the TV series
Settings menu item was always missing.

keith Wrote:I'll leave it since you posted both syslog and xbmc, but this is the last post like this everyone, no more ac3/dts on 4.3 issues, the devs know about it for sure.

Keith, its not so much about the audio but more about my other issue when the .mkv's keep dropping the ATV back to the Apple Menu.
My full HTPC build log:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=129352
Core i3-2120T 2.6Ghz, 4gb Kingston DDR3, mSATA SSD, Moneual 312 Case, GT520 GPU
I think the dropping issue is just something we'll have to deal with for a while. I'm looking to find a way to go back to the previous firmware in the meantime until the new firmware is more stable.

Yes, SMB is working properly in the latest build: April 1, 2011.
A lot of new commits, maybe time for a new unofficial semi-nightly build Nod

@Kieth, apologies for the seemingly inappropriate post, it was in no way directed at you, or trying to report a fault, i was only after confirmation from itsalltrash regarding the setup used. (i even said that these issues will hopefully be solved when gimli has AudioEngine merged)

Thanks again though for all the time people in the XBMC team put into this project, i've been running XBMC since early days on the original xbox (still do thanks to the project being maintained now as xbmc4xbox) along with many other devices and am ecstatic with its continued growth and adoption.
Hey Guys ... aren't you able to read? As Keith stated some posts above. Stop talking about the audio issue in this thread. It is a problem with iOS. This thread gets more and more bloated with this stuff which is not good. There is an xbmc unrelated 10 pages long thread over here which shows people which have audio problems even without jailbreak:

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa...0&tstart=0

So now ... stop wasting your time on this. And for those of you where it works - you just got luck when selecting your avr.

sorry Keith - no debug log for this because this is a "human bug" Wink
I've problems streaming HD video from my dreambox using tuxbox via 100mbit ethernet network. My appletv2 is on 4.2.1 iOS version, I've audio, but not video. Here's the "pastebin"

With iOS 4.3.1 I had video, but not sound due to the APIs I suppose...

I haven't tested .TS streams, but this does appear to be h.264 so it should work. Anyone out there tested a .ts file?

Since this is a media file having playback issues, per the 1st thread we need mediainfo and a sample file cut in order to help you.
Verify the sample file has the same issue and also let us know how it works in win/linux/osx.

Memphiz, thanks! That's a great post to refer too. Smile I got rid of the other posts.

Exista, I do plan on doing a build this weekend.

Thanks for the update re: the new build... probably a few folks excited to try out the latest code. I've been seeing some FF issues here and there, can't see a pattern in the affected files yet, figured I'd dig into it on the next build... just in case it's already fixed.

It's a stream from HD TV live. I suppose I can record a few minutes and upload it somewhere...

Please do that. cut a small (200mb for .TS probably is fine) chunk off, test it locally, if it continues to have the same issue, THEN test it in osx/linux/win, then run mediainfo and upload the sample to somewhere and link us with it.

1st post in this thread details that. Also joining #xbmc-ios on freenode is useful. Smile
