I'm uploading a sample to megaupload right now. I've done some test:

** MacMini 2010 (hdmi): There is sound but not video, here is the "pastebin"

I am running the latest nightly build.
The playback of certain video files is too fast. This makes watching the video unpleasant. As the video and audio do stay in sync, the audio is speeded up as well and gets distorted. (With noticable 'scratches' in the sound)
It's important to note that running the latest official build I could play the exact same files fine.

I'm aware that you don't want posts about audio problems and if you feel this falls under that category, please let me know.

Platform: AppleTV2
Jailbreak: Seas0npass, untethered
Version of iOS: 4.2.1
Build: Git:20110401-97b5e9f

Great post! Can you cut up a sample tho? Maybe 100mb?

Just audio too. No idea why and since it happens on the mac mini too it's not a specific ios issue.

Okay after trying for a while.. unnp from a pogoplug does not work.. since the build 3-18-11, I went back from the 2nd official release through 3-5-11. and unnp worked. after that it just hanged on the file, and then rebooted the apple tv here is the log, i dont think it says anything...
this log is from the latest one from 4-1-11

Whoa... Big discovery... Ssa subs from 720p mkv animes work on the ipad perfectly with the latest build.. the same build on the atv does not... weird...

which build would that be (git ref number) please. also ios versions for both.

If you don't know how to get that, from the main menu goto system > system info. it's a right swipe from system and kinda hard to do on the ipad (or was when I tested it a couple months ago)
From there you should see the date and build number.

Ipad, running on ios 4.3.1 xbmc pre-10 Git:4b032be (compiled :feb 20 2011)

This one has ssa subs working perfectly, their is a little buffering otherwise all subs on the anime mkvs worked.

(Appletv 2 ios 4.3.1)XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:20110401-97be95 (compiled : Apr 1 2011)

ssa subs dont work...

hope this helps.. im going to install that version on the apple tv to see if it works...

Finally got my issue with the build tracked down I've been having that has preventing me from building, so new build is up. Usual spot.

There's been significant changes with the recently added script, so if you guys use anything besides confluence don't plan on recently added working for you.

This should have the audio fix to stop the pausing every so often.

Some other stuff too I've forgot now I'm sure.

It's curious that with ati graphics card or 10.6.6 version, works great.
