I'll but in here and say there has already been discussion around doing this in the official repo (long time ago probably put on the back burner) and then using the extra images as well to auto build the websites skin sections as well as in the addon section of course

I coded up something like this in showmix went through all skins taking pictures but didn't like the filesize of the total screenshots would love to see this added to the repo

It could run once on startup. It would only pull new items if new skins were added to the wiki, which would be rarely.

I think it would probably best run when entering Add-ons from the Settings.
