I prefer to stream live TV and watch within XBMC's environment, but is there a more esthetically pleasing way to do this than how I have?

HDHomerun and I found the AlJazeera one somewhere. Like you, I'd like more.

Not sure what I can do. Files mode is files mode, gonna be boring without any info labels or anything to use.

It's not necessarily the mode that bothers me. Wall and poster mode show the entire file name, as well. I'm interested in other ways users have got around that.

The Livestream plugin allows you to add your HDHomerun stream alongside other webstreams. You can then add any title you want in the <Title> portion of the XML document. This got me around that darn .strm extension showing up. You can also keep track of an link thumbnails directly in one XML file. I just started using it yesterday with my HDHomerun streams ... love it!
