been running the xbox and now considering a zacate build. i see the other thread recommend the HP IR Receiver but wondering how is everyone mounting them? considering the Apex MI-100 and looking for recommendations on mounting the IR cleanly or recommend a different mini-itx case with a spot for IR, possibly built-in. currently using a Harmony 880 but will also be looking for some sort of remote keyboard so wifey can play on facebook

They come with a long USB cable. You mount them where they can be hidden as they are kinda ugly. You could use it internal if you with to get crafty and self mod.

Antec makes a IR receiver that fits in a 3.5 bay. microcenter has them for $20AR

looks like if i go instead with a Apex MI-008 i can fit this in nicely.

Be careful though. Harmonies are VERY VERY picky. At some level you might have to pick between looking at an ugly IR receiver or dealing with remote lag. I can't stand remote lag, hence my recommendation for the only receiver I have found (and I have tried over 10) that is lagless with a Harmony.
