Missing characters in ass subtitles
#1
I am having issues with a very particular video in getting its subtitles to work properly in XBMC. Whenever I try to play the video, the audio and video stream perfectly, yet the subtitles appear with small squares instead of the proper characters:

At first I would assume it to be a corrupted subtitle file imbedded within the .mkv, yet VLC is able to call all characters in the subtitle font correctly without any issue.

I am currently running Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium and using the HDMI output on my ATI Radeon 5870, the video should be running at 1360x768 resolution. My CPU is an AMD Phenom X6 1055T running at about ~2.8GHz.

This a clip of the Debug iss

Perhaps I missed the thread in which this had been solved or mentioned before, but after searching for subtitle issues, and then 'ass' subtitle issues specifically, I tried the steps I could find:
I had done every subtitle combination I could think of with the default settings, and installed the Shrewsbury font into the cache/font folder within my AppData/roaming/XBMC directory. Nothing I did in those settings seemed to cause any effect, as I suspected since the subtitle is built into the video to some extent.

Here is the video I am trying to get working properly:

I am sure there is some fix I just could not find, and am interested in any input!
