Im trying to separate my tv shows from my movies in library on my atv2. is it possible to have multiple libraries? I have searched and searched but can not find what im looking for.

Just add each one as it's own source. I assume you have TV Shows and Movies in their own folders?

Actually, TV and movie should be in separate library. This is how XBMC is actually programmed for.
So simply set up a source for each, and define the proper scraper for TV, or for movie repectively in your source. Then have XBMC search for new content and you are good to go.
If you want the TV Show and Movies menu item to appear on your homescreen, go to system/skin and look for the option to unhide them. You'll have the ability to do so after the library has been set up for each.
