[RELEASE] Pneumatic
Hi everybody

I use xbmc commander on my iPhone and iPad, however in newznab the keyboard doesn't work. In fact if a search box comes up the app appears to be ignored. When the search window is closed it all works again.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had this issue...

Cheers

Is this for just this addon or will the same happen in i.e. the youtube addon?
There is a xbmc setting for the remote to output keyboard keys, will thet help?

Hi Popeye,

I haven't used the YouTube app however the other apps such as 1Channel work fine with the keyboard inside the xbmc commander app. I have also tried different iPad/iPhone apps and none work with newznab. Strange eh

Does anybody else use an app to control xbmc?
The app appears to lose connection until the search box has disappeared. So you can't even scroll along and use the keyboard on the screen.

Never mind eh lol

I am using a bluetooth keyboard to search for titles etc. When I only to navigate with the arrows and start playback I am using my TV remote. You will need a CEC USB adapter between XBMC and your TV for this to work (HDMI) http://www.pulse-eight.com/store/product...apter.aspx

I've used the android app without any issues. I dont remember exactly but I ticked a setting in xbmc about the remote outputting keyboard commands, that solve my issues with the search box after upgrading to openelec 2.0 beta..

Hi,

I'll give that a go. Strange though as 1Channel works with the current settings

Hey Popeye, thank you for Pneumatic, it's an amazing add-on.

I use it with the Nzbmatrix extension by iDude, and in a lot of occasions it works as intended.

More often than not though, I keep getting an error message, when Pneumatic tries to send commands to SABnzbd, and also when the add-on tries to stream the movie.

I try downloading and streaming a movie from Nzbmatrix. The first two commands succeeds, but then it fails on the third with this message:
Quote:SABnzbd failed moving file to top of queue
Looking in the log, it gives me this message:
Quote:NOTICE: plugin.program.pneumatic: unable to load url: http://127.0.0.1:9090/sabnzbd/nzb/SABnzb..._walyjv=on
If i then copy/paste that URL into the browser, while the add-on is still runnning in the background in XBMC, the URL works as intended without errors, and moves the file to the top of the queue. Returning to XBMC, Pneumatic has noticed the move, and continues to try and stream the movie, but all I see is a black screen for one second, and then it asks me if I want to delete og download it. The log shows this:

I just checked the nzb you have in the example above. The rar archives are not in the r00-r99 range but have a next set starting with s00-sXX. I have no mechanisms for this (yet) and this could be a reason for the failing of playing. I'm off-line for a few weeks so I have no way of testing right now. Can you have a look If the error only occurs in the non "standard" archive set ups or just randomly?

Cheers!

Hi Popeye,

I Second that. It seems a lot of new release are like this. Once your back online I can let you know some of the releases that are doing it so you can recreate the error.

And I hope your keeping well and are having a better summer than we are over here!! Undecided

Well i found out what the problem was trying to run it on the Raspberrypi.

The video player on the RPi that uses the GPU is OMXPlayer but the addon by default uses DVDPlayer, which was too taxing on the RPi's CPU as the video would never start to play.

Changing this setting in default.py

xbmc.PLAYER_CORE_DVDPLAYER

to

xbmc.PLAYER_CORE_AUTO

i got it to work with Sabnzbd running on my Mac, as it now uses the OMXPlayer.

EDIT: This was using Openelec...Raspbmc struggles with x.264 files but Xvid play fine.

Just had a quick look at the code. It could be fairly simple to fix though I cannot test it my self right now.
In pneumatics utils.py
Code:
...
RE_R_X = r'(\S*?\.r\d{2,3})'
...
RE_R = '\.r\d{2,3}$'
try changing this to
Code:
...
RE_R_X = r'(\S*?\.[rs]\d{2,3})'
...
RE_R = '\.[rs]\d{2,3}$'

I can change to AUTO, I guess I just copy pasted from some example code... Big Grin

Without sounding completely useless how do I find that file and change the code. I had a quick look and couldn't find the file..

Sorry for being a little slow lol
