XBMC continued issues with Interlaced material

This type of issues have been a problem for at least 2 years or longer.

with some interlaced meterial XBMC has a really hard time to play it correctly.

i can upload log for devs if necessary.

windows media player and media center will play this file correctly on windows 7 machine.

problem is xbmc will skip, shutter all over the place. frame rate will jump up and down.

Deinterlacing is really poor with windows xbmc, no dxva deinterlacing and no working anything... I really can't understand what is so difficult?

And sorry, xbmc is best htpc frontend...

really? i'm using december 10 nightly build and it still has problem playing top gear 1080i files, when windows media player doesn't

For a freeware, I think that XBMC is doing their best to please everyone. Can you use external player to fulfill your needs? Free MPC-HC for XBMC external player might be an easier route!

A sample would be good.
Always read the Kodi online-manual, the FAQ and search the forum before posting.

Do you have deinterlace set to on or auto? Try on. Also what video card do you have?
