BR Movie tool - Download trailers from youtube

Hi,

i cannot understand that such projects seems to die shortly after release.
Nevermind this program is not finished.

What about releasing sourcecode?

Hi, does this work on XP? I tried it and nothing happens.

I just tried this today and had a pretty decent result.

9 out of 10 trailers were spot on.

Couple of things:

I was doing a directory with 100 folders. It got about 90 of the 100 films correct. So I went and deleted the incorrect ones.

Then later, I added a couple more folders to that directory - however to get these to "auto download" I'd have to scrape the entire thing again...which I don't want to do, because then I'd have to delete the wrong ones again.

I was not able to set the path to the film directly, because it was expecting a sub-folder...

My work around was to create a temporary folder, drag and drop, then rescan, etc.

At any rate, it's nice enough and works fairly slick. It be nice to have a semi-automated option, where I can review the trailer prior to downloading it. Though that may be wishful thinking as the development may of become vapour Tongue Either way, many thanks as I'll be using this for now! Smile

but how to choose beetwen services (moviefone, yahoo, apple)
for example movie Salt: http://www.hd-trailers.net/movie/salt/
I think apple and yahoo trailers are the best options.

but definitely you are much better developer than me Wink
Of course I can help with tests

Has this stopped working for anyone else?
Been using it for a few months just fine but over the last couple days it stopped working. It just does it's Check Video URL bit and finds nothing even on movies it had worked for a few days ago.

I just tested it Sad Damn. It isn't working anymore for me either. This was my favourite one so far...

I'm trying to source another one, there seem to be a couple out there, but so far they are restricted to grabbing new-release trailers, which doesn't help my desires much.

Poo. I was hoping it was on my end Sad

I've been trying to find another one too. The ones that do new trailers don't do anything for me either. I haven't found anything else that will do older movies except for a couple media managers, none of which work half as well or are as well behaved about not messing with anything else.

I noticed flaviosa is still posting so he's still around. Hopefully he'll be inclined and able to fix whatever's gone wrong. Image

Ye, not sure whether that'll happen or not.

Maybe it's only broke for the moment...could resume working - sure I don't know. I recommended it to a few people on the EMM-R thread, so I know it's used by at least a handful of us.

It's pretty handy of a programme I think! Hope it works again.

Haven't seen one.

What I've resorted to doing is a very manual process.

I've went to youtube and manually found the trailer, let's say it was this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjjJIqAMF...re=feedlik

Then I replaced the "http://www." (including the stop at the end.)
and replaced it with "http://save" (sans a spot.)

So it would look like this:
http://saveyoutube.com/watch?v=SjjJIqAMF...re=feedlik

Then it basically brings me to a screen to choose what format/resolution I want to download the trailer.

Then I rename/save it to where it's appropriate.

Yes, it's not at all automated as the BR - but it's simple enough if you're just maintaining and the other automated options don't suit me because they just focus on hd-trailer.

It has not worked for some time. There are no decent automated programmes that I've found.

You can, however, do this:
