[LIVE]First true HTPC

Well, I dunno where dan350zr got these numbers from. I just read it on page 1 of his thread here.
As for my build, it's on page 4 of this thread (at the bottom) and I'd like to replace the EVGA GeForce GT 430 with that Sparkle one cause the Sparkle one is passive cooled which would bring the "noise level" of my soon-to-be HTPC down a little

Your HTPC build looks fine to me, don't panic.

Hehe yea I guess I just was a little bit scared cause he wrote the GT430 needs 22A at a 12V rail. Would suck if I order everything and it won't work cause my PSU is too weak for the GPU Big Grin But I feel reassured now ;D

thats really weird too i found,,,
anyhow, if your afraid, just get the CORSAIR CMPSU-430CX 430W (+12V@28A),
that'll handle it 110%

56W/12V=~5A its max what that card may use (according to its tdp value)

I'll stick with the EarthWatts. I just can't believe that this card should suck/need that much power. Like nemek said, it's TDP value is 56W. So it comes down to this now (last update to the build, I promise Big Grin) Will start ordering today.

(Prices as they were on the 12.04.2011)
