Well, it says low profile in the description so I'd guess the brackets are included...hm...

no, not all the time,,,

if they aren't, you'll have to buy some separately...

here we clearly see that it comes with the brackets http://ow.ly/1svyGu

and here they are not included http://ow.ly/1svyIk

Okay, since the Antec EarthWatts is not available in any store I searched, I am now getting the 380W Seasonic S12II-380 80+ Bronze. It's 6€ more expensive but it got an 120mm fan instead of an 80mm fan like the Antec, so it's probably going to be more quiet.

what about here --> http://ow.ly/1svBC2 ??

these brackets look good --> http://ow.ly/1svBWC
again, maybe ask SPARKLE tech support is they r included...

but have a read here --> http://tweakers.net/productreview/34727/...3lnmp.html
someone made a review of that card,
i think the guy says that it does NOT include the Low Profile brackets...

Haven't seen this site (the one selling the Antec) but yea, like I posted, I bought the 380W Seasonic S12II-380 80+ Bronze now. 6€ more expensive but got a 120mm fan instead of an 80mm like the Antec so it's probably a little more quiet than the Antec.

As for the Sparkle GT430 - You are right, he says there are no low profile brackets included so I have to shop for them.

Anyways. I just ordered everything I need for my HTPC and my unRAID server (also ordered 1 low profile bracket HDMI/DVI) and my final costs are 827,95€.
I will update this thread with pics as soon as I get the stuff Smile

So with all the parts on the way to me I could just sit and wait or ask some questions about XBMC and unRAID. So here it comes

Questions concerning XBMC Wrote:As I posted earlier, I have already indexed all my movies using Media Companion. So my folder structure looks like this

\Movies\
—-\MovieTitle\
—— MovieTitle.mkv
—— folder.jpg
—— fanart.jpg
—— movie-trailer.flv
—— .nfo
—— .actors\

My question now is, is there a way to save the pictures on the SSD so I will have faster access times in XBMC? And if yes, how to do so.

(Btw is Media Info Plus superior to Media Companion?)

Questions concerning unRAID Wrote:Here the real question is wether or not install the jumpers on my WD20EARS drives. From what I've read in the wiki, I don't need to install the jumpers for the new version of unRAID. So the complete setup would roughly look like this

1. Assemble Server (install Mainboard, PSU, CPU, HDDs, etc.)
2. Download unRAID and 'install' it on a flash drive
3. 'Install' preclear_disk.sh and unmenu_install on the flash drive (Optional)
4. Boot the server, verify network connectivity and detection of HDDs
5. Configure the server (Identification, Network Settings, Date & Time, Disk Settings <- anyone got a good value for the "Default spin down delay" settings?)
6. Install UnMENU, Screen, Mail & SSMTP (Optional)
7. Preclear Hard Drives (with the -A option since I don't need the jumper on pins 7-8 due the new version of unRAID)
8. Wait
9. Wait
10. Wait
11. Add the drives to the Array
12. Add the parity drive to the Array
13. Create a User Share
14. Copy files to the Array (either via network or via external HDD)
15. Set a root password
16. Profit

Yea, that's it I guess Big Grin Would be nice if someone could answer these two questions while I wait for my stuff to arrive Big Grin

dont keep the pictures on the SSD...
they belong where u have them already...
in their respective movie folders....
just DDS compression if anything goes slow for you
http://ow.ly/1swpg7

there's no such thing as better than MEdia Companion,,
meaning, just use the app that works best for you!

have you checked my thread about unRAID here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=91750
