qwerty virtual keyboard, possible?

I use the on-screen virtual keyboard quite frequently. Does anyone know if it would be trivial (more or less) to configure the keyboard in qwerty format?

The xbox mod has it.
You can take it from there.

Liked the idea of a Qwerty Keyboard so here we go - http://xbmc-skin-convergence.googlecode....yboard.zip Just unzip the xml file and copy it over the original in your Confluence 720 folder. It would be wise to rename the original file first so you can revert if it all goes wrong

If used as is it'll show a qwerty keyboard however for those willing to get a little dirty the setting - Skin.HasSetting(ABCKeyBoard) - will show the orig abc keyboard

Fantastic! Thanks, Mudislander. This looks great. I'm really into the Alaska revisted skin right now so I think I can (hopefully) use your xml as a template and reproduce it for AR.

Thanks again, it's exactly what I was looking for.

this doesn't work with current frodo builds

does anyone have an updated version or is there a better way of doing this now?

I should qualify this a bit. I I'm trying to make it work on Android builds.

+1 for QWERTY change. All virtual keyboard that I use, use the QWERTY keyboard now. It's the standard. I'd love to see it in the Confluence skin.
