[AppleTV2] Help with video add-ons
#1
I've installed several of the video add-ons (PATV, Giant Bomb, Hulu). I haven't been able to get any of them to play. I know that there are issues with the Hulu addon, but I thought the others would work.

I can browse all the episodes on any of them, but when I start to play them, it crashes XBMC back to Front Row every time.

I have a crappy internet connection, but videos stream on our computers alright.

Any ideas?

Dude, grab a log, and provide all the information of your setup in detail. I am sure someone will be able to help you.

When it comes to troubleshooting plug-ins on the ATV2 the first thing you should do is to test out the plug-ins on a desktop copy of XBMC to see if it actually is an issue related to iOS/ATV2.

If it is specific to iOS/ATV2 then be sure to include log files as noted in the sticky ( http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92480 )

I would test this out myself, but I'm not near my ATV2 right now, and testing stuff (or anything) is a pain in the butt on the iPhone XBMC.

The add-ons I'm having trouble with do work on the OS X version of XBMC, so this is an iOS problem.

The logs below are from the period of time when I tried: Launching a Penny Arcade TV episode from the XBMC Commander iPad app (so using the webserver interface) and nothing happened, trying to view an episode on the TNT plugin ("video failed to play" but no crash), and then trying a PATV again using the regular remote (crash).

Version: XBMC PRE-10.0 Git: 4b032be (Compiled Feb 19 2011)

Here are my logs (can't seem to install syslog, tells me it can't find the package)

Probably worth testing on a semi-nightly build of XBMC. The one you're using is pretty old.
