I've even tried to create a new folder and name it something funny to search for it but I can't find the file.

I'm exporting to a single file, and the location options it gives me in the menu don't let me back up to the drive's root. I'm wondering where this file is actually being saved to?

Marcos,

Try choosing ~/Desktop and then export to a single file. The export will be stored in xbmc_videodb_<date> (e.g. xbmc_videodb_2011-04-16).

XBMC Frodo 12.2, Transparency Skin (5.0.9)
PogoPlug v4 running Arm Linux 3.9.2-0 as MySQL (mariadb) and media file server for XBMC
Mac OS X 10.8.3
2011 27" iMac 3.4 GHz Quad, 16GB RAM, 1TB HD, 256GB SSD
2009 2.0GHz MacMini, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD
2009 17" Macbook Pro, 8GB RAM, 500GB HD

Thanks for your input

This is the screen I get after selecting "single file" option, this is the highest folder I can get to in this menu, but i can't find it on my system.

You can see I even created a dummy folder called "TOPMAN" so i could do a folder search on the Mac but no results turned up.

Any other ideas?

Marcos,

Did you select the TOPMAN folder when you did the single file export? After the export what is in the TOPMAN folder?

Hi,

yes i did select that folder, but then selecting "ok" went straight to the Export/Import library screen, no loading bar etc. Also, searching the system for the TOPMAN folder brought up no results.

If it helps, this is XBMC 9.11 on a Mac Mini 1.83Ghz

Marcos,

I haven't used 9.1.1 so I am not sure what the problem is. Have you considered updatint to 10.1? By the way, it would help if you updated your signtaure with the appropriate information.
