Subtitle position relative to Videoframe
#1
Hi all,

A little while ago i stumbled across this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=81735
In it Aardvark is trying to make XBMC more projector friendly, in this process he also addresses an issue which has been bugging me for a long time: the position of the subtitles.

I watch TV-shows and Movies, often the TV-Shows have a different aspect ration then Movies. This means that when the subtitles are nicely aligned inside the bottom of the video for TV-Show they often drop below the videoframe for Movies (which makes the automatic zooming of my TV go crazy).
I know i can change the position of the subtitles via the options menu, however to do so i need to use a mouse, which is not very handy in my living room Confused.

Aardvark and Mikper have added a ticket (patch) for an option to let the subtitles automatically move to a position relative to the video frame (see here: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/10281).

However i don't know how/if i can add this to my XBMC setup (on Windows 7).

I reckon a lot of people will love this feature, so perhaps someone with the necessary knowledge can either explain how to implement this, or perhaps one of the devs can integrate this in the 'standard' XBMC altogether (Spiff has worked on this a few months back)!

I hope someone knows how to add this great feature Big Grin!
