[LINUX] Addon manager does not allow me to install addons
#1
Dear all,

I cannot install add-ons from the add-on manager. What do I have to do?

When I open up settings -> add-ons -> get add-ons I see an entry for XBMC.org Add-ons. When I open this entry and choose e.g. Album information, I get a whole list of add-ons. But when I click on an entry (e.g. LastFM), nothing happens. I just hear the sound that I clicked and that's it. No option to install new add-ons is shown.
If I click on previously installed add-ons a menu opens up, where I can disable / uninstall the add-on. Adding new add-on repositories via zip file works, but installing the add-ons fails again

"check for updates" and "force refresh" of XBMC.org add-ons did not bring a solution. Neither did a re-installation of XBMC ("totally remove XBMC" in synaptics)

I am running XBMC (full installation) on a Ubuntu Desktop (latest version, all updates) on an ASrock ION 330.

Thanks for your help!

PS: I am still new to Linux and therefore kindly ask you to keep the answer idiot proof
