How do I make PVR Work?

No worries. Just thinking out loud really, in case anyone else is going through the same thing.

Good to hear that live-tv is working now. For EPG, enable it first inside the "MediaPortal TVServer configuration" tool. When it is working in Mediaportal itself, it should also work within XBMC.

Yea, after reading today, I figured that was the step I missed too.

I do have one question for the future, if you happen know. Will there be any way to update the EPG, without an internet connection(OTA)?

Depends on the EPG source. My EPG information comes together with the digital TV signal (DVB EPG), so I don't need an internet connection for EPG. You can download and cache Web-based EPG (XMLTV) often for more that a full week.
I'm using also MC2XML for EPG information which gives me EPG info for a full week.

I got it up and running. XBMC live tv and epg via mediaportal and a hdhomerun tuner on win 7 64bit.

I don't see the channel icons inside xbmc, they are however present in the mediaportal client.

Does anyone here know what I need to do to get the icons shown just as on this screenshot:

I also tried the Python video plugin version on my old original xbox. I can actually see the channels and current programs running, but then I try to start a stream it says that the channel is scrambled which it isn't.
