- bakito - 2012-01-21 thanks a lot!! cheers - zurgdawg - 2012-01-21 zurgdawg Wrote:I'll test a few scenarios this evening and get back to you with the results. Thanks! Success! At first, it still wasn't working, so I just deleted all Launchers and even uninstalled the add-on and wiped out the directory. Did a fresh install/setup and used the workflow you outlined and things worked. Not sure where/how things were backwards, but thanks for the awesome support & addon! Version 1.7.4 - Angelscry - 2012-01-22 Version 1.7.4 : A very small update with a bug fix concerning Advanced Launcher under Dharma version of XBMC and small strings corrections. ChangeLog :
- Knut Anderson - 2012-01-23 Hello, I'm having a related problem to the problem of zurgdawg, except that normal scraping doesnt work either. I already have the images (thumbs, fanart) on my HDD, and when i ask it to use those, they do not appear in the library. After trying that, I decided to delete the items from the library and do a rescrape, but it doesnt add any pictures. Then i decided to delete my launcher.xml and re-add all the emulators, at first it worked fine, but then i wrongfully chose "add item manually" or maybe "system info (a description of the emulated computer)" and although thats probably not related, from that moment on it doesn't add fanart or thumbs to that specific emulator. Then i tried adding another and this worked fine. - Angelscry - 2012-01-23 Knut Anderson Wrote:Hello,Ok... using your information I will try to reproduce the problem on my side. The problem occurs with launcher's thumbs and fanarts images or with item's thumbs and fanarts images (or both)? Have you defined the defualt path launcher's thumbs and fanarts images? - fidoboy - 2012-01-23 I've just downloaded and tested this addon, running on XBMC Eden beta 2 on Windows 7 64bit. It fails when the executable path contains spaces, for example 'C:\Program files (x86)\MyApp\executable.exe' also, i've fixed it, editing the xml file with notepad.. but this way, it works, but so often i get a small XBMC window on the middle of the screen and it just hangs... what's wrong? is this a bug? regards, - Angelscry - 2012-01-23 fidoboy Wrote:I've just downloaded and tested this addon, running on XBMC Eden beta 2 on Windows 7 64bit. I use Beta 2 btw, maybe thats the problem? - fidoboy - 2012-01-24 Angelscry Wrote:What have you edited exactly? I've manually added the quotes to the executable path, this way it seems to work, but so often it hangs when i launch my app, but other times it works fine i don't know the reason for this behaviour. It happens with any app that i've tried, from chrome browser to any game... randomly (almost every time) it just hangs... and i must kill the task - Angelscry - 2012-01-24 fidoboy Wrote:I've manually added the quotes to the executable path, this way it seems to work, but so often it hangs when i launch my app, but other times it works fine i don't know the reason for this behaviour. I have make some tests with stand alone launcher (with firefox) and files launcher (Mupen64Plus + 10 N64 roms) and all is working correctly. I think there is maybe a problem in your Advanced Launcher configuration or with you XBMC/Windows 7 system. Could you please post here, using pastebin service, the content of your launchers.xml file? - Angelscry - 2012-01-24 Knut Anderson Wrote:The problem only occurs with items thumb and art as far as i know, never tried to scrape for emulator information. If there is a bug, it may occurs after specific actions order or with specific files, paths. So... please... could you post here the content of your launchers.xml file and also give me the more possible information about your :
- ali2k1 - 2012-01-24 Hi Angelscry is it possible to run different versions of pcsx2 for different games as some run better on different revisions. For example for the script to read from a settings ini/XML if game name is xg3 run pcsx2***exe. - Angelscry - 2012-01-24 ali2k1 Wrote:Hi Angelscry is it possible to run different versions of pcsx2 for different games as some run better on different revisions. - ali2k1 - 2012-01-24 Thanks Bruv I've tried that but I don't know how to exit the emu as it comes back to pcsx2 GUI on pressing esc , I've tried mapping alt +f4 but that closes xbmc as pcsx2 GUI is on top but xbmc has focus than pcsx2. In my head it makes sense! - Angelscry - 2012-01-24 ali2k1 Wrote:Thanks Bruv I've tried that but I don't know how to exit the emu as it comes back to pcsx2 GUI on pressing esc , I've tried mapping alt +f4 but that closes xbmc as pcsx2 GUI is on top but xbmc has focus than pcsx2. In my head it makes sense!Yes I know this problem. You can solve it by creating an autoit script that will force PCXS2 to close, like described into the wiki page : http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?title=PCSX2#Windows. You can change the "ESC" key to quit by any other key or keys combination. If you plan to use different version of PCSX2, you will have to make different pcsx2-launcher.exe file (one for each version of PCSX2) and then make the .lnk files point to pcsx2-launcher.exe instead of pcsx2.exe. |
