- Riffmaker - 2010-12-31 I'm running zsnes on windows 7 32. Games launch fine, but I have 2 problems. The first is I'm using xbox360 wireless controller with event ghost running it. When I launch a title xbmc goes into the background and tho the controller works for znes, it is still working in xbmc. Is there a way to tell the program to kill xbmc then relaunch it after I esc? The other problem is when I do hit the esc key XBM stays minimized and all I see is the windows background. Am I doing something wrong? - rbrohman - 2010-12-31 The-Boxhead Wrote:any one having luck getting mame running on linux with advance launcher ? I have mupen64plus 1.99 working. Take a look at this post, and let me know if you have any questions: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=675133#post675133 - fr500 - 2010-12-31 Hey angelscry. Is it possible to have 2 instances of the launcher somehow? I want to launch programs but one to be ala and the other one program launcher so they don't mix up, that way I can fire my browser or anything else from xbmc. ATM using executor for the programs but it pales in comparision to ALA - BORIStheBLADE - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:This is the configuration setup of Advanced Launcher for Nestopia and ZSNES in Windows. Ok.. So I followed the info for Nestopia except for where it was stored on my computer. For some reason when I put the folder in the c drive nestopia wouldn't create a .xml. When I click on a NES game in XBMC I get the error " File not found" in Nestopia. If I get rid of the argument I don't get an error, but it won't load a game. A side note. The wiki links you posted to Zsnes directs you to Nestopia wiki. - DaGround - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:Thank you for the feedback. I will try to reproduce this error and try to fix it. Actually the command line support for windows is unfortunately not 100% functional. Could you tell me what is a smallest LEGO game (in size) you have problem with? LEGO Batman and Indianer Jones are both 4.2gb and i got this error on 2 systems, both running win7 64bit, very strange. LEGO Starwars Trilogy is working dunno if it helps but this is the command line my hypersin apk uses to lunch snes roms: ;***********************Super Nintendo Entertainment System********************* else if (systemName = "Super Nintendo Entertainment System" && executable = "zsnesw.exe") { hideDesktop() SetKeyDelay, 250 Hotkey, %exitEmulatorKey%, CloseProcess RunWait, %Executable% "%romPath%%romName%%romExtension%", %EmuPath% - nekoarashi - 2010-12-31 Hopefully that link worked for you Angelscry, also I have to ask; can games be scraped if they are each in their own subfolder within an overarching folder ie: games > game 1 folder, game 2 folder.. etc? - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 Steveb Wrote:Then a arg for hiscores and samples etc... will work, but the arg line ends up as long as my arm and not very user friendlyHere is a discussion about the use -hiscore_directory and -hiscore_file arguments for xmame. Maybe it also works for standard mame version. - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 nekoarashi Wrote:wow- I keep trying to upload the files, mediafile, filefront, megaupload error error error -Here is the part of your launchers.xml file: Code: <name>mame</name> Code: <args></args> Code: <args>"%rom%"</args> Code: <platform>Super Nintendo Entertainment System</platform> Code: <platform>Arcade</platform>
[*]Go again to the context menu of your MAME launcher [*]Select "Edit Launcher" option [*]Select "Clear Roms List" option and confirm Now, you can scan again the directory, and MAMEworld scrapers will be able to identify your roms. - User 55003 - 2010-12-31 Angelscry Wrote:Here is a discussion about the use -hiscore_directory and -hiscore_file arguments for xmame. Thanks for your help, but the xmame solution didn't work with the old command line ver of mame (my fav on windows) No probs, just a small work around, maybe time to give mame32/ui a go - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 htpc guy Wrote:I'm trying out Nestopia on my Windows 7(x64) system. I edited the nestopia.xml file with the modifications listed in the wiki. It's strange, for me it is the opposite. ESC is doing nothing and Echap is working. I'm using the same Windows version as you. Seems that if is related to the language version of Nestopia. Echap if the french translation of ESC. I will fix the wiki page. Thank you for your feedback. htpc guy Wrote:Now when I press esc I get a dialog asking if I want to quit. Is there a way around this? I don't want to have to get the keyboard/mouse out to close the box.Into Option/Preferences menu you need to unchek the "Confirm Exit" box. The corresponding line to the nestopia.xml file is : Code: <confirm-exit>no</confirm-exit> htpc guy Wrote:Now, the previous comments are concerned with running nestopia from outside of ALA. When I launch nestopia from within ALA I get an error that pops up saying "Can't Start! Direct3D is busy! This one is a problem with XMBC settings. You need to go to the XBMC "Settings" menu, then "System menu" and here activate the "Use a Fullscreen Window Ratherthan true fullscreen" option. I will also complete the wiki page. Again ,thank you for your feedback. It will help me to complete the wiki page and will help the other users (and you also). - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 ijourneaux Wrote:I am using Launcher to launch BeyondTV from XBMC. This works well if BeyondTV is not running.Ok... I am not actually familiar with BeyondTV. So, you mean that when you start Beyond TV from the launcher it goes directly into background and the launcher go back to XBMC? Do you want BeyondTV to always stay in front or do you want it to stay in background for a while and call it back in front, when you want, using the launcher? - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 Steveb Wrote:Worked fine before 0.9.1, never mind, forget it!Yes it works, but it with the right manner. If you start MAME using only the command line you will need to indicate the right paths. If you start MAME by double clicking on it, you will not need to indicate those paths. Previous version was working like the second manner, but was not right manner for a command line support. The new version of the Advanced Launcher is using a method more closer to the command line support. For MAME it has a negative effect, because you need to indicate all the path (but it still working) For other emulators, like Project64, it has a positive effects because now the emulators are working. - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 The-Boxhead Wrote:any one having luck getting mame running on linux with advance launcher ? - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 Riffmaker Wrote:I'm running zsnes on windows 7 32. For sure it will solve your problem of XBMC to stays minimized, and maybe also fix your problem with the controllers. - Angelscry - 2010-12-31 fr500 Wrote:Hey angelscry. But it will be more a hack of the Advanced Lanucher than a real functionnality. The idea is to install a second time Advanced Launcher on XBMC but with a different name.
