RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - itry - 2014-07-19 Thanks a lot for all your help. Unfortunately I'm not any closer to adding new channels for playlists that won't add in the Channel Configuration window, although I have discovered a very easy way of accessing files on my NUC just using Windows Explorer (you have no idea how stupid I felt when I realised it was this easy)! I tried playing around with the settings2.xml file, duplicating the settings for another channel I'd successfully set up but adapting it to the desired playlist. However, this caused the Channel Configuration not to load (it gets stuck at 90%) - presumably I've not set the channel up right, causing this. Is there a guide on how to manually add channels by editing the settings2.xml file? I've read THIS post from Lunatixz but unfortunately it doesn't have all of the info for someone like me to manually edit the file to add a channel. Sorry to be such a pain but I think Pseudo TV is fantastic and I really want to get it all set up the way I want! RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - itry - 2014-07-19 Sorry to keep posting in here but I have found a solution to my problem of some custom playlists not adding to channels in Channel Configuration so I thought I would repost in here in case anyone else has the same issue. RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - tromy - 2014-07-20 I use media portal backend to watch live tv channels. When I watch through xbmc live tv the time between changing channels is 2 sec. When I watch through PLTV the time is 8 sec. I wonder if it's just me or all of you have the same times?and if there is away to reduce the 8 sec? I have used all other backends and still the same results even with margo pvr builds for faster changing channels. RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - wiz561 - 2014-07-20 Is there a document available that shows what all the XML syntax's and options are? For example, what does Channel_14_1 and Channel_14_rule_1_opt_1 mean? Just something that says how to define stations. Thanks! RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - twi252 - 2014-07-21 Hey guys, Have OpenElec v4.0.7 (naturally XBMC Gotham 13.1), and a HDHomeRun FTA (EU version) DVB-T receiver, and PTVL v0.4.7 development branch. I have PseudoTV Live working, i have HD Homerun working with OpenELEC's TvHeadend, i was wondering if i could integrate the HDHomeRun and PTVL? I read the first post in this thread and it's possible to either generate STRMs or maybe use a pvr:// handler. I downloaded the latest HDHomeRun software and cant see a way to generate STRMs from it, i'm currently wondering if it's easier to integrate via the pvr:// method? Would appreciate any tips or pointers. Would be nice to not have to exit out of PTVL to watch Live TV.. :-) UPDATE - Have made strm's via HDHomeRuns utility (had to set it to "Main Program" to XBMC was the trick) ZIPped them up and transferred them over to OpenELEC, set PTVL to re-tune with STRM enabled and the directory they are in, but they're not showing up. Checked inside the STRMs and there are 2 hdhomerun:// links (one for tuner 0 and tuner 1).. Everything looks good, just PTVL is not picking them up during a re-tune.. Strange.. Thanks! I'm seeing one of three things happening: 1. You don't have a temporary directory on your device (unlikely) 2. The permissions for your temporary directory have been altered (slightly more likely) 3. Your device's storage is nearling full and a temporary directory can't be used due to the lack of space (most likely) Edit: I see now that you are using Android...I should read the log more thoroughly. As for Channel_14-rule_1_opt_1, that means option 1 for rule 1 on channel number 14. Channel_14_1 means channel 14, parameter 1 (or something to that effect.) RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - jaynford - 2014-07-21 My issue is simple and yet I can't figure out how to solve it. I have been using My Library to get the Netflix .strm files from PlayOn so I could create some channels. I set up two channels just for a test; the first time you load after a reset it plays the episode fine, but 9 times out of 10, if you change channels or even select a future episode on the guide, the file is unable to play. I initially thought it was an error because XBMC was trying to seek on the files which you can't do on PlayOn and it was causing an error, but that isn't the case. So, is it just gonna be that inconsistent, or is there a simple setting I am overlooking? It would be tremendously helpful if something like this existed. It's mostly the playon source that's at fault. I've been using playon for over five years and never had much success using it with PseudoTV, and PseudoTV Live. Also start following the Mylibrary thread, you will pickup that strms generated from playon expire quickly (some a few hrs after building).
