- fr500 - 2011-01-26 If you are using wait state true it shouldn't as xbmc will completely freeze. What OS are you using? - fr500 - 2011-01-26 Angelscry Wrote:Here is the actual list : Thank you, is it possible to add the fanartpath to say ListItem.Path that way would may coding extrafanart much much easier - ECEC - 2011-01-26 fr500 Wrote:If you are using wait state true it shouldn't as xbmc will completely freeze. What OS are you using? Windows 7, I'll check my wait state when I get in front of the box. - Atreides - 2011-01-26 I have a quick question. I searched the forums and could not find any info on it. Is there a way for computer games to have their own folder? I would like to select a PC Games folder along with my emulators, instead of all my games on the same level as my emulators. Thanks! - TheHazel3yes - 2011-01-26 You clearly did a great job on your search, didn't you? - Angelscry - 2011-01-26 Atreides Wrote:I have a quick question. Thanks! Here is the page explaining how start PC games as roms : http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc/index.php?title=File_shortcuts The idea it to use game shortcuts (.lnk file) as roms. - Angelscry - 2011-01-26 fr500 Wrote:Thank you, is it possible to add the fanartpath to say ListItem.Path that way would may coding extrafanart much much easierYes could be possible. I will try to add this features on the next version. - Atreides - 2011-01-26 @Angelscry Thanks a lot! I appreciate the help. - BrotherMagneto - 2011-01-26 srsobieraj Wrote:If you're looking to "Just play N64 games" then I suggest 1964 v1.1 with the "Glide Napalm WX" video plugin. For ALA, this is the easiest to use *free* option for emulation of N64. It beats PJ64v1.6 hands down every time. You'll probably want to steal NRage's Input plugin from PJ64v1.6 though as it's superior in many regards (such as including a dead-zone for analog controllers). Thanks for this - this is exactly what I was hoping for. A couple of people in this thread recommended PJ64 so I didn't even bother exploring 1964 as an option. I'll try setting this up tonight or tomorrow. Angelscry Wrote:I'm not sure, but I think you can add all the .bat command lines at the end of the conf file, and so only use this last one. http://www.glennsguides.com/2007/07/...r-killing.html Ah yeah that should work too. That's actually the original guide I used to develop my .bat file solution, and then forgot about. - Thrasher666 - 2011-01-27 how do you all quit your games, roms to come back to xbmc? in my way i tried setting up snes, psxe an none is working sometimes the xbmc don´t come back or the snes don´t quit in any way i have no idea ... - fr500 - 2011-01-27 Thrasher666 Wrote:how do you all quit your games, roms to come back to xbmc? in my way i tried setting up snes, psxe an none is working sometimes the xbmc don´t come back or the snes don´t quit in any way i have no idea ... Are you using wait state or not? and what OS do you use. What emulators are you using? When not using wait state this kind of stuff happens more. if you use wait state "true" try this, after opening a game press alt-tab and go back to XBMC, if XBMC is active (ie: no black screen) it means the app is spawning another process (ALA for example BSnes spawns bsnes-performance.dll) and in that case your app is messing with ALA's wait state detection. If this is the case I made a batch script to fix this issue, might need to be modified to suit your needs. - srsobieraj - 2011-01-27 Thrasher666 Wrote:how do you all quit your games, roms to come back to xbmc? in my way i tried setting up snes, psxe an none is working sometimes the xbmc don´t come back or the snes don´t quit in any way i have no idea ... Alt+F4 (Ctrl+Alt+Esc in KDE, not sure about other distros). I have this bound to a button on my gamepad. Kill the rom process and poof! you're back to XBMC. Xpadder lets me configure my controller so that I have to press both triggers and the start button all at the same time. Sorta like L+R+Start from the N64 days. If you're using a keyboard then it's even easier, since you don't need to bind Alt+F4 to anything. - fr500 - 2011-01-27 Did you get xpadder to work with bsnes? - BrotherMagneto - 2011-01-27 BrotherMagneto Wrote:Thanks for this - this is exactly what I was hoping for. Back to N64 emulation - I set up 1964 and eventually got it working but on all of the ROMs I tried (Goldeneye, San Francisco Rush 2049, and SM64) the sound was crackly and awful. Googled around and apparently Goldeneye has known sound issues but the other two roms had the same problems. I noticed the sound got a little crackly with Gens running 32x games as well, it sounds like (no pun intended) a similar issue. I'm running a Win 7 Revo 3700... maybe it's just not strong enough to do emulation at this level? Any ideas? Also - I got MESS to do TI-99/4A through ALA this morning too. The circle of classic gaming is almost complete! - fr500 - 2011-01-27 For N64 your PC might be underpowered. Are you using wait state true? |
