v19 Kodi Android Installer
(2023-01-18, 00:09)Dklktn_Dklktn Wrote: Thanks for this addon.

When using it, I can't see the "master/" folder. All I see in arm64-v8a is:
Nexus/
Matrix/
Omega/
Leia/

Is it the expected behavior ?

No, You should see the master branch while navigating nightlies; I believe the issue is related to a bad mirror host.
Please install my beta repo  and install the lasted version v.1.3.5.
If you still encounter problems, try opening the plugins settings, click "Default" and "Ok".

Any further issues will require a log. THX

Thanks for the answer 😊

It's working with v.1.3.5. I can see all folders now.

Used this today to upgrade to v21 alpha, worked well Smile

Hi, I just use it in firestick,  last omega nightly, but one label in addon setting is missing.

Reading through this forum I see a lot about Firestick or Nvidia Shield.

Can I use this addon safely to install 21-rc on my Philips Android 11 TV? Do I need a separate file manager installed?

I'm not sure if Kodi Android Installer is not functioning due to the update to the Omega version, however it has not worked for over a month.

When you attempt to change to any stable version of Kodi, you get a system message that says: "Something went wrong, try again later"

There is a bug within android API that will break access to internal storage. Reboot your device and try again... This should remedy your problem. If not please provide a log, THX

Possibly related...  I just attempted to install the 20240429 nightly
    kodi-20240429-625be876-Omega-armeabi-v7a.apk
over the 20240409 release
    kodi-21.0-Omega-armeabi-v7a.apk
(to get ISO playback working again https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/24955 ).  The attempt ended with "App not installed" in the AppInstaller.  After trying many things without success (alternate file viewer, Rooting the device, su, an ssh server and pm install ... (failed because user -1 is not user 0), disabling Google Play Protect, et al.), I have this log entry that *might* be relevant:

PackageManager: Downgrade detected.  Update version code 2100000 is older than current 2100001.

I have no insight into version codes and whether the APKs have correctly increasing version codes.

I am in the exact same situation. Trying to install the latest nightly on my ARM7 box over the official Google Play Omega release. In order to get .iso playback working again.

However unable to install the nightly. Always get "App not installed" in the AppInstaller.

Any ideas? Or if the Google Play version gets updated soon won't be an issue anyway...

Open the plugins settings and select a installed file manager.

Tried that first.  No joy.

Likewise. I think the issue is with the version numbering within the nightly build. It is seen as a "downgrade" and that's the given reason that the install does not complete.

Thanks for the help

Trying to start Kodi Android Installer on my Shield Pro today, it says "Something went wrong, try again later..."
Same with Windows Installer, some server issue maybe?

The latest ARM7 Omega nightly seems to have sorted this issue out. Was able to install it over my previous Omega installation and can now play iso files again Smile
