Hi, I'm using Kodi 20.4 Nexus. I had a nice install of PseudoTV working with the existing iptv simple client 20.x.x, then I went to update PseudoTV with the latest version because there was an update available, and got an error message indicating that the dependency on iptv simple 21.8.0 omega was not satisfied.

I went to github, downloaded two different iptv simple 21.8.0 files, tried installing them, and I get an error that the install has a "bad structure". Now I can't get PseudoTV installed again and I cannot install the older version of iptv simple because when installing PseudoTV it tells me the dependency for 21.8.0 could not be met.

What do I do now?

If the iptv simple client 21.8.0 was readily available from the Kodi PVR add-ons Repository, this wouldn't be an issue.

binary addons are provided for Android and Windows by the repo, binary addons on linux and other systems are provided by the system packages

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm using Windows, I can't "compile it". At least if I knew how to, I could but I don't think this is an option in Windows.

then you can only install 20.x since your kodi version is 20.x - https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/nexus/pvr...ws-x86_64/

omega is 21.x - https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/omega/pvr...ws-x86_64/

Thank you, I got a little further, I don't get the error I had before but now I get a new one that inputstream.ffmpegdirect version 0.0.0.0 could not be satisfied.

I'm running the latest and greatest Kodi available for Windows, 20.4.  To my knowledge there is no version 21.x.

there is nightly v21 https://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/windows/win64/master/

Thank you so much for your help. I went the nightly builds route and was able to install version 21 of both Kodi and iptv simple, and was able to update/reinstall PseudoTV.
