Minix won't play full (frame-packed) 3D. Only in 2D mode.

Hi,
Has anyone purchased and tested a Nexus Player? I was waiting for this box to come out but want some feedback from the community before buying. Can Kodi be installed on the Nexus Player?
Anyways my main questions are, which box has more support from the community and does a box really matter not having a ethernet port.

Thanks

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and have looked through this thread but have not seen any postings regarding the:

MX3 Android Box

I am from Canada and we seem to have limited options for android TV boxes. Can someone look at the stats for this box and let me know if it seems good for running KODI/XBMC? I currently have two generations of OUYA and like them but can't seem to get them on CANADA AMAZON anymore. Please advise! Thank you!

I note sadly that we still don't appear to have a device which is classed as the 'holy grail' of cheap, fast, easy for XBMC :/ It's a shame. I want something I can recommend to friends and family.

I think for "friends and family" a FireTV is very close to cheap, fast, and easy. Its compromises drive me nuts but are things the normals in my family would never notice.

RE: The best Android XBMC boxes - speedracerx0509 - 2015-02-25

Want to get an Android box for XBMC and am getting confused. I see MXIII, G-Box Q, Amlogic, Tronfy, Keedox, M8, Onvo, Element, Skystream, Lynec, etc Are these all the same but different manufactures? What's the best one?

RE: The best Android XBMC boxes - hdmkv - 2015-02-25

None of them... go Fire TV if you want a living room experience vs. a tablet on big screen one.

RE: The best Android XBMC boxes - speedracerx0509 - 2015-02-25

I've got two of them rooted but need a quick and easy set up for the in-laws who are not tech savy. Need to store movies on an external HD attached via usb.

But fire TV isn't android? And I guess you have to sideload? Alot of people won't know how to do that.

RE: The best Android XBMC boxes - hdmkv - 2015-02-25

It is Android, but heavily Amazon customized. But, you're right, Kodi needs to be sideloaded.
