RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - Carb0 - 2013-01-21

There are a few reasons why I'm going to wait before I try to scrape the links directly from gamecenter live:
1. It's not easy and most of all very time consuming to find the links on the webpage.
2. I tried it before and didn't succeed.
3. If it's possible it will be much slower than the current way of scraping the links.
4. It's likely that the Vault will soon be updated and this is just an oversight by the people that are supposed to update it.

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - antst - 2013-01-21

Yeah, but if Vault will be not updated, then it will be the only option left, regardless of expenses.

Don't they have some kind of API for this things?

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - Carb0 - 2013-01-21

No, there is no API.

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - jayace - 2013-01-21

Any known issues running on Android with Frodo RC3? I'm getting a Script Failed error when I try to launch the addon.

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - Carb0 - 2013-01-21

Can you post a log?

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - jayace - 2013-01-21

Trying to find it.....

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - dazed - 2013-01-21

totally unhelpful post, just wanted to say THANK YOU for this.
I was pleasantly waiting for Frodo to be finished, and now I am damned thrilled for it. A) the PS3 NHL GCL app is broken until mid-february (lazy bastards) B) I prefer to use my xbmc for everything, if possible, and this plugin will make my season perfect.
thanks again.

What games are you seeing in 4500 kbps? I looked at yesterday's and none are available above 3000 kbps.

Plugin doesn't seem to support it yet, but the streams are definitely available. Here's MediaInfo output from TOR/MTL:

That's interesting. Could you point me to where I can learn how to use mediainfo to check stream quality?

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - dazed - 2013-01-22

just wanted to mention, in case I had missed something in the OP, I am on Eden, and able to watch live games. ("condensed" don't work for me...)
this is most certainly not a complaint. but pleasantly surprised.

RE: [RELEASE] NHL Gamecenter Addon - deschmit - 2013-01-22

Just a quick question. Occasionally during a live game the stream buffers. Sometimes during commercials I might want to get back to live. What is the best way to do this? At first I was thinking to fast forward. But with that I have to keep a close eye on the action and hit play after the stream catches up. Exiting the stream and entering it again might actually be the quicker. I'm just curious with what do others do. Just want to make sure I'm not missing a one button solution. Btw thank you much to the developer. For me and on linux full screen play back with xbmc is much smother then in Firefox.

Do you use a custom Eden build or Margo's PVR build? Condensed and archived games don't work yet.

I just restart the stream.

um, as far as I know, neither. straight out of the box. (in fact, I'm certain I've installed nothing more than the standard version of Eden.)
i never even tried when I installed the plugin, assuming that the OP description was correct, then one a whim last night went poking around in it, saw that it loaded the menu for the days games, i clicked on one. got the "this game has ended" screen, so I tried the final game of the eve (DET vs ... ducks?) which was in progress, and there it was. "Huh!" I even checked on another computer to watch the game in browser just to make sure.

the only thing I can think of... I experimented with TV tuning on this setup abut a year ago, but gave up when 1) i realized the tuner I had was shite 2) setting up the backend software was "above my paygrade" and out of my league. (but I believe I did leave the software installed, just not configured.)

while I am very new to this area of software, know absolute crap about TV tuning, etc, Not New to computers in general. If there's anything I can do to verify this, let me know?

Turns out the "Generate Thumbnails on next start" is what was crashing it for me. Once I deselect that option the add on starts for me. I'll try and run it tonight when the games start and report back.

I still can't get the logs to work so I'm working that issue out as well.
