No active pvr client in Frodo? - cordfree - 2012-11-03
I have used eden pvr builds with media portal without any problems. When I try to use frodo builds like the new alpha 7, I get a no pvr client message. Media portal is running and pvr plugin is enabled. Is there a different plugin for Frodo? What am I forgetting? Thanks for any help in advance.

I had that too. All i needed to do was go to the hts plugin, disable and re-enable and it picked it up (when live tv was checked in the xbmc settings)

I'm having the same issue. The log isin't showing anything related to PVR viewing

I have the same problem with the latest builds of frodo. Previous I used Margros build that works perfectly but after upgraded I get the same error message.

The Frodo builds for Windows do not contain the PVR addons. When upgrading from one of my Eden builds to Frodo, make sure that you uninstall first because the Eden pvr addons are not compatible with Frodo.
To get the MediaPortal pvr addon, you have to compile it yourself or use one of the prebuild packages from wileecoyote. See http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=140148
