Live DVD cases used to display according to smart plist - h8redv2 - 2013-02-07
Hi
As the topic says
My live dvd cases set as background, used to display covers based on a smartplaylist eg. kids, 3D etc...
This is not the case anymore, now it simply displays the same covers on all my sub categories.
Is this by design or am I missing something ?

You need to link the background to your smartplaylists :
System > Settings > Skin > Customizers > Customize > Main menu item customizer
Press UP to open General options panel and select Smart Playlist Manager
Set your slot to your smart playlists
Go back and edit one of the custom menu.
Choose background -> Live DVD cases -> Select one of the smart playlists just defined in set above
And it's OK :

Yes, it's work and with my mod, you can choose to have clear case like on screenshot, clear case with resolution or BD/DVD cases.

When i try this with the setting "Use DVD/BD cases" it will only show black covers with three discs.

What kind of movie ? Blurray rip ? Offline ?
I'm using MKV and / or AVI and I have no issue :

I use MKV bluray rips.
My normal movie section is working just fine with the DVD Live cases, but not when i make my own menu from a playlist. Then it shows the black covers with three small discs instead. An no movie posters on them.

So it's an MKV file, it should work.
Showing black case with 3 disc means that XBMC doesn't know movie resolution so default is p.png case as XBMC didn't know if it can use 576p.png or 720p.png

Well, a reinstall of XBMC, Aeon Nox 4, and your mod, fixed the problem :-)
Dont know what casued the problem, but now the custom menus are displayed correctly with DVD/BD Cases :-)
