am i the only one who is experiencing VERY VERY VERY long time populating channels?
i have around 50 channels that take more than 4 hours to build.
some are playlists and some are tv shows or movie genres.
i have 4 live tv via tvheadsend and 6 folder channels.

all the playlists have the <limit> 200 </limit> but it still takes a long time to populate

disable enhanced guide data!

Not marked? 4 hrs indicates something wrong with your system or configuration. It shouldn't take more then 20 mins with maxed out channels.

I have nearly got everything working to how it was. My interleaves are working well, but I have hit another snag. PTVL seems to get choked up on my schedule rules. I have given it time but it won't budge. Does the scheduling rule work for you?

I have a LOG and would be extremely grateful if you could take a look.

I may have jumped the gun in my previous post. PTVL was working, but was taking extremely long to build the channels. I turned background updating to minimal so I could see the list build before starting up and because the progress indicator stopped moving for a long time I thought it had crashed/got stuck.

So yeah, PTVL is definately building slower for me too. Enhanced guide data is disabled, media limit per channel is set to 10 (I normally have it on 50). I let it run last night watched it for over an hour and went to bed before it was finished, so do not know exactly how long it took. But I do know it was hours.

I'm still testing my configuration but everything else seems to be working. Right now I am just glad it's interleaving again.

Are you by any chance using Yatse android app?

Nope, I do use the official android app and the ios app that begins with a "C" I think. But haven't used any whilst getting PTVL up and running at all. Just keyboard and mouse.

I'm not sure whats going on... I don't see these delays, I'll have to look into it further...

I'll bet it's a problem with a plugin, I noticed that randomandlastitem plugin was killing ptvl for some reason..

No worries, it is still more than useable. Take your time Blush
..besides it seems to be only effecting 2 of us for now, so it may be something on our systems. Many thanks for all the work you are and have been putting in!

Only issues are:
1. After channel switch, the program/movie starts from beginning. (Mentioned already above)
2. If I enable trailers from youtube. PTVL plays just those trailers again and again. It's unable the start the tv-shows or movies in between.

1. fix in next update
2. can you send me the m3u for the channel that is having the trailers problem?
it's located in userdata/addon_data/script.pseudotv.live/cache/
wow the movie starting from the beginning issue is fixed?

That's awesome because that problem had really been plaguing both ptv and ptvl since Gotham

can you let us know what the issue was? I'm just curious

Sorry to ask a probably dumb question but does anyone know how to install the 3 custom skins from post number one? I downloaded them and put them in the skins folder but am unable to switch to any of them from inside PTVL settings.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - aNTTI - 2014-06-23

Put the files directly to the "Custom" folder at: C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\script.pseudotv.live-master\resources\skins
So if you want to use Aurora skin from post1. Put Aurora skins "720p" "images" and "media" folders to the root of the "Custom". Then at settings select "Custom" as your skin.
I think you can have only one custom skin available at onetime.

Thanks for the tip, it worked like a charm. Big Grin

Hello, sorry to post this again, but i'm afraid no one had seen my message.
I have two problems with pseudo-TV Live that just have me banging my head against the wall because I just cant figure them out.
Firstly: When I exit pseudo-TV (By pressing the stop square) it doesn't really shut down, and in order to re open pseudo-TV I have to restart xbmc.
I have added a log here and I saw it says it cant open the addon (after it was exited) because its still running.
Secondly: I can only switch between channels when I enter the addon. After I focus on a show, when I press the up and down button it just seeks +10 mins and -10 mins. When I press the OK button It opens the play/pause menu (I believe it's called OSD). My question is how do i fix this, or how do i switch channels after focusing on a single channel.
* I'm running xbmc 12 on an android TV box, using a remote. I have tried mapping the remote keys to different actions but still the second problem keeps occurring, its driving me crazy.
Thank you very much.

hit the back button - you will be prompted to exit.

I figured as much - you should take a look at your keymap (wiki). very little support for android boxes with custom software here.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - mrpickles - 2014-06-23

Ok so I have a really dumb question. I might be asking in the wrong place, but thought I would start here.

When I initially add movies to my library, it grabs the "poster" artwork from themoviedb. I prefer this artwork over fanart.tv because it doesnt really have actor names and stuff on the artwork...and a lot that I get from fanart.tv seems to be in other languages.

When I switch on dynamic artwork in PTVL it doesnt grab my cached poster artwork from themoviedb like it does when dynamic artwork is turned off. Instead, it looks for the artwork I have in the folder with the movie file. The artwork I have there is from artwork downloader and when I run the artworkdownloader, it always grabs the artwork from fanart.tv

So all in all I guess my question is: is there a way to use dynamic artwork and it grab my cached artwork from when I originally added the movies to my library (like it does with dynamic artwork turned off)?

Or, is there a way to run artworkdownloader and when I grab the poster artwork, to only grab from themoviedb? (this might be where I should ask a different thread).

I hope this isnt as easy as switching on that "use local files." because I have played with that setting and didnt see anything change.

Sorry, I am sure this is a dumb question!
