RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - BankerBankson - 2014-11-16 Since updating to the latest Master, I find that there is a HUGE slowdown in parsing...which is contrary to what others have been noting. However, this slowdown only appears to be in the Sega plugin. The others are still good. Mind you, I'm parsing 1000 deep in one folder (for about 20 folders...each folder is its own channel though). But when "adding links", it takes at least 3-5 seconds to add each link, whereas earlier it would add 'em in groups of 20-50 at about that speed. Not sure how well speed issues are covered by THE LOG...but I'll post it when I get home if you'd recommend it. I've tried this with the "Override Stream Validation" enabled & disabled, but there's no noticeable speed difference either way. I know you made changes to stream validation recently, so I don't know if perhaps that had an effect on this change up. RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - MissRis5 - 2014-11-16 OMG! I don't know what happened but since updating there is serious lagging. PTVL takes forever to load, videos freezes but audio keeps going, it never loads last played channel, and there's constant channel changing. Please tell me how to go back to previous version until this is fixed. Thank you in advance. RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - IMnobody - 2014-11-16 Yep, seeing the security cam on your door would be great, do you think you can get it to wash my dishes too, think this through guys. Too many minds! I'd just like to see Luna get this set up as plug-n-play, so we don't need a BA of science to channel surfing. Most of us would love to dump our cable providers, like the app was intended. But, as you can see, by how many pages there are, as many of know, it's been a long time coming. Believe me Luna I appriciate what you've done. But too many minds and too much time. bye Re: RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Lunatixz - 2014-11-16 (2014-11-16, 18:15)BankerBankson Wrote: Since updating to the latest Master, I find that there is a HUGE slowdown in parsing...which is contrary to what others have been noting. The request to enable "Override" is because I improved error handling, so there was no need to slow things down validating channels. I can't stress enough NO changes in parsing... If its "slower" its either with your system, source or your head [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - BankerBankson - 2014-11-16 (2014-11-16, 20:54)IMnobody Wrote: Yep, seeing the security cam on your door would be great, There's no harm in feature suggestions. So maybe one day it will do the dishes. All that aside, I think there are a lot of posts because this thing have been improving and improving for a long time. You really don't need a degree to set up the channels. If you can't follow the directions in the first couple of posts, check out the twitter feed and you'll discover they even have an app that will simplify all of that for you now. Like everything in life, you get what you put into it. Good luck. Look, I get it. You don't want to pay for cable anymore. You want someone to create a program that functions exactly how you think it should, that you also don't want to pay for. Instead of coming on here and telling everyone (including the developer) what this project, in your opinion, was apparently supposed to be...how about you just say thanks for the countless hours of work that have gone into the continued development of this addon and move on. Just a thought. Too many people, have poked in too many idea's and adaptations in so fast, and that this plugin is out of control. The earliest concepts are still not fully functional. There's already two external support apps, that only work in Windows. I'm sorry, but the community is wider than just Windows users. Now what are we suppose to do here? RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - BigOldBoy - 2014-11-17 This might sound like a silly question, but when you turn off the tv what do you do with PTVL? Do you keep it running on a local file channel? Do you exit out of PTVL and leave XBMC. I usually exit to the XBMC screen and then turn off the tv, but with PTVL I might leave an internet channel running and eat up a lot of bandwidth. Just wondering what others do. Are there any good free live news and music feeds that go with this? dont know any good news feeds for US and world news that provide latest news. Vevo main channel, US hits works, but none of the custom VEVO channels inside work either through VEVO direct plugin syntax, its doesnt create channel or VEVO custom channels through mymusictv. they work fine directly in mymusictv, but not here. No doubt this has been thought of already, but I'll just throw it out there. I would like to be able to filter movies and TV shows by date range. The idea being you could set up a faux HBO channel with movies and TV show (or just one or the other) that have production dates of 2014-2012 and then set up a faux HBO2 channel to have 2011-2008 and then HBO3 2007-1900. Obviously these are just examples, but it would be nice because you could make sure any of your channels are just playing the most recent episodes. Downside is you would need to adjust your channel settings each year but I guess if you wanted to get real fancy you could make the calculation and have options like >2005 and <2011 and make the appropriate calculations every time PSTV goes to refresh the EPG data. Truthfully it would probably be better to have the date rage qualifiers > and < built in right from the start. I'm not sure how YouTube etc passes back video information but you could probably use a similar function to filter those channel types as well. Just some thoughts.
