[FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - ARYEZ - 2015-01-26

@Lunatixz

Just a heads up that I've noticed a few minor bugs since updating to 5.7F

1. No matter what skin you have set to use, once you exit the addon it will always display the PTVL skin when you relaunch.

2. For some reason it seems to pull both fanart and landscape artwork randomly. For instance,if I browse through my EPG I'll see landscape displayed for some of the shows/movies and fanart for other shows/movies even though everything is set to use landscape.

Obviously neither of these things are huge bugs but I just thought I'd bring them to your attention.

Otherwise great work as always, and I can't wait to see the new in app channel manager implemented. It'll definitely be nice to be able to make changes on the fly without having to manually edit the settings2.xml anymore.

i think i read that all skins got disabled except that one in the last update until things are ready.

1. Yeah, not sure if it was in the thread, but Luna tweeted that because of some artwork changes in the most recent release he disabled all other skins until they could be changed to make them compatible again.

He didn't have time to fix all the skins but he didn't want to delay the release so he just locked it to the PTVL skin until the other skins could be recoded.

Don't worry, it's just a temporary measure so that general progress isn't delayed by skin progress.

2. Is the type of artwork being pulled different based on the chtype. I suspect certain chtypes pull one thing whereas other chtypes pull another.

@ Lunatixz - Just watched the upcoming channel config video, looks awesome, will it create single strm channels from local files(type wasn't shown in video)

Also would it be possible to configure the channels on kodi startup(without launching ptvl), and have a 'PTVL is ready, launch?' prompt. I don't always launch ptvl, but when I do it takes a while to load channels(even with background loading).

Hi.....I love the idea of this addon Lunatixz but right about now I'm feeling pretty useless. I know the autotune is supposed to be like training wheels but I seem to be having issues. First I tried checking the youtube subscriptions part of autotune thinking that my subscribed channels would be added - no such luck , so I thought maybe I entered the wrong youtube username but I,ve tried everything to no avail. Then I tried adding my subscribed channels as well as some live streams to super favorites and then checked 'find super favorites' in autotune but that didn't work either. I'm obviously missing something......any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the addon.....Cheers!

***Scratch that - I had a typo in the folder name PseudoTv_Live in Super Favorites......
Thanks again Smile

---Geez - I thought I had made progress but I guess not. I have made a folder in Super Favorites called PseudoTv_Live. Within that folder, I have made folders Channel_8 through Channel_25. I have added a channel or favorite channel or live stream to each of those folders. When I run autotune, I see the channels being parsed but when I open the EPG, I have Channel 1 listed over and over with the same youtube channel in each..... It seems I would appreciate some help after all......

I've had spotty luck with auto-tune as well on occasion. I would highly recommend playing around with setting things up manually. It might seem overwhelming but it's actually quite simple once you get down to it.

Look at the samples on the first page and then edit your settings2.xml based on those.

Also follow the link for the community list on the first page and look at the xmls for channel ideas. Even if you can't auto-tune it doesn't mean you can't get ideas from the community lists.

For local content channels use the built-in channel configuration under PTVL settings. Based on Luna's twitter account this features is going to expanded in the (possibly) near future so that you will be able to do more than local content channels. Which means that once it is included you won't need to fiddle with settings2.xml. That said, it is always useful to know how the sausage is made.

Let me know if you need any help, or need someone to look over you settings2 config.

Good luck.

Anyone know why my OTA channels are forcing DXVA-HD within PTVL? They work fine with regular LIVE TV, but I get errors no matter how many times I auto-tune or unininstall/reinstall PTVL.

I updated my lav filters. Have NEXTPVR set to lav decoders + VMR9 CUSTOM. And DXVA2 (Copy-Back) selected under LAV FILTER VIDEO CONFIGURATION for Hardware Acceleration.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am not positive, but I think my problem came when I changed out my video card for a Radeon R9 270x.

Thanks

If that is when it occurred then I would say it's not a PTVL or even a Kodi problem. Just a thought, but maybe there is some driver setting (Catalyst) that you are missing. Were you using an AMD video card before?

I was using an nvidia/ati card before though, ya.

The weird thing is that my LIVE TV OTA works just fine... it's ONLY within PTVL that I get these errors... and now all of a suddenly. And I checked over all the settings in the Catalyst Control Panel, I don't see anything that would effect it.

It started with either one of PTVL updates or when I switched this card. I'm not sure though which.

I have a question on reducing a time length or rather to set a specific time run on a streaming channel....

To this I mean, Ive created a channel thats made of 4 streaming channels, Now this channel works well but the streams last for about 90 mins each when the "tune" sets them up. Id like to set a stream to last ONLY 30 mins each. Ive played with the ptvl windows manager, and the sceduling part but cant get it to a 30 min stream... Im continuing to read through this entire forum and the guides, which have been great, but am now at this problem....

Thanks for any responses in advance... and forgive me if I havent read far enough... im trying Wink

Is it possible to create a channel that shows specific TV shows using a specific audio track? For example, Greys Anatomy would be automatically added to ABC channel because it's an ABC production and the scraper assigns it to ABC. However, in countries outside the U.S., there is no ABC, so a different channel shows Greys Anatomy in the local language. For example, in Germany, the channel ProSieben shows Greys Anatomy in German language. So it would be cool to have both an ABC channel showing (amongst others) Greys Anatomy using the English audio track as well as a ProSieben channel showing Greys Anatomy using the German audio track (as well as other TV shows assigned also using the German audio track).

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to do, but I would suggest looking at the settings2.xml setup for the channel you are interested in. Certain chtypes have an entry that defaults to 5400. 5400 seconds is 90 minutes, so changing that line to 1800 should do what you are looking for (assuming I understand what you are looking for Tongue).

I remember someone else requesting something similar to this a while back, but I don't think there was any way to do it because language is set by XBMC/Kodi rather than PTVL. I would suggest searching the thread for a keyword like "language" to find more on this topic (and to see if my recollection is correct).
