RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - Marshall - 2015-02-10 (2015-02-10, 21:06)Lunatixz Wrote: The community list is edited off site on google code, links are posted all over post 1! Nothing is more annoying than having a vision and not being able to convince others you have a good idea. I think the community list is a good idea but the problem I've experienced with people in general (going way back to the old DSS/SatCom hacking days) is people don't care as long as their stuff is working. Once they are up and running they pretty much vanish and contribute nothing until something breaks and then they come running back in panic because their TV is down. The real problem, I believe, is people don't see the incentive. Like you said the autotune is training wheels and there needs to be something like that to get people started, but honestly... if you're going to go to all the work of maintaining a channel list for other people to leech off of... I'd pack that sweet list right up and add it to the donations only features or if enough people want a really high quality autotune consider charging $10/year for access. Just my thoughts on it. I already spent a ton of time on the google code community list, and hardly anyone contributes to it.. Lets hope we can spark up some interest! No there isn't at the moment. You should check out Milkman's guide IN THIS POST he goes into detail about how important it is to plan out your channel lineup. I personally keep an excel spreadsheet with all my channels. Yes it's some work to do, but that's the difference between having a really nice setup that rivals any cable/sat package I've ever had and a sort of half-baked mess. Read that guide and take the advice. In the long run its worth the effort. RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - tromy - 2015-02-10 Just tried the new in-app manager in order to create some "plugin channels".Worked like a charm. The only issue is that PLTV can parse folders only written in english. If I select a tv show which is title is written in Greek then PLTV ignores it and creates nothing. Don't know if it's an easy fix Thanks RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - TheGame1986 - 2015-02-10 (2015-02-10, 21:36)Marshall Wrote:+1 to this advice.(2015-02-10, 21:28)Reb313 Wrote: I use auto-tuning as a base to start from. I keep an excel spreadsheet, also, with any information I deem relevant; i.e., logo, source of channel (PVR, USTVNow, Plugin Name, etc) and categorised into sections. So all Kids channels are together, all music channels are together, etc. As they say, fail to plan, and you plan to fail RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - thehoolywoodtv - 2015-02-10 tried adding my antenna homerun channels to community list. no luck channel manager said "coming soon" RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - thehoolywoodtv - 2015-02-10 amazing work man RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - gurnted - 2015-02-10 (2015-02-10, 05:30)gman3042 Wrote: If a xmltv.xml file is needed, is there anyway I can change what directory it reads it from? I'm trying to do this on a fire tv so it makes it hard to transfer an xmltv file to it every time. Settings > DVR > XMLTV file location (directly under Enable XMLTV) BTW: moving kodi files to FireTV is very simple. Just share your userdata folder on the machine you edit on, and use kodi's built in file manager to copy them over. RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - boyboy - 2015-02-10 This is alot of work and research to set all this up. Im a newbie to this but seem like you got to be a techy to set this up.I tried reading the guides, googles, and forums still stomped Creating files and codes to set up these certain things feel like I should of majored in computer programming . I can tell you one thing this is not for beginners .Good idea just alot of work and research i'll just stick to ftv guide for now maybe down the road this will be more user friendly. Have you tried using the new in app channel configuration tool, which you access in the plugin settings? With that there should be no need to delv into any code. Help the community help you. Hi bry- well he has a point here. I just started using this script and it really is a lot if you're not already a bit settled in the mater. Also the wiki on page one is incomplete and not up to date anymore in some cases so it's even more confusing some times... Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, this is all work in progress right now and I'm sure Luna will provide a fully up to date wiki when hitting release version. You may be on board with PTV for a lot longer then some of us and therefore it's a lot easier for you to follow changes or to know what's working in which way right now but for me it's a lot of trial and error and some things are confusing or not running as they should. But it happens a lot on the kodi forum that if you ask "stupid" questions or beginner questions you get unfriendly answers so a lot of people don't even ask anymore. Your first sentence is an indication of what I'm talking about. A lot of people here are also non native english speakers (including myself) and you have to admit that it's not the easiest script for kodi... Again please don't get me wrong I don't want to be disrespectful to you, Luna or anyone else and I can only imagine that an addon like this is more than a handful work and people like Luna are doing this for free in their spare time. But often you just get ignored or disrespected while trying to get your way into something like this. btw I had a request regarding an option a few pages ago and Luna did answer other question but mine got ignored. It's something that is not important right now for the progress of the program, still you're saying that maybe we can inspire Luna to some changes. Mine got neither heard nor answered. Again no complaint just saying as a reaction to your post...
