Hitting ignore until it installed and System Info still shows it as Beta 4 and Aeon Nox Gotham Plus is gone from Appearance, and has reverted to Confluence.
On a side note, 4.1.9 gives me a black screen on my HTPC install when installing via zip file running Beta 4 as well.
you must quit XBMC before installing the new version, thats why you get these errors.

Seriously though... that's humiliating. I blame high levels of multi-tasking.
So, initially this didn't work, but in case anyone else has the same problem here's how I got it to work.
1. Clean install XBMC Beta 4 / I used a clean install, but existing should work fine
2. Drag and drop Aeon Nox 4.1.9 from rar'd/zip'd location into C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\Addons
3. Open XBMC
4. Switch to Aeon Nox 4.1.9 skin
5. SWITCH BACK TO CONFLUENCE
6. Exit XBMC
7. Install XBMC RC1
8. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\Addons\skin.aeon.nox.gotham
9. Verify that the folder is empty besides a few small .png images
10. Extract skin.aeon.nox.gotham folder from archive into C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\Addons DIRECTORY
11. When Windows asks; merge files then when it says that the same files already exist in the directory click don't copy so the leftover png files aren't replaced
12.
13. Fire up XBMC 13 RC1 and enjoy Aeon Nox 4.1.9.9

Wow, if you have to go through all of that, something is really wrong with this skin. I'm using MQ5 in my living room and Nox 5 in my bedroom until Nox 4 is straightened out. MQ% offers plenty of customizing and Nox 5 is very lean for my ION machine.

Went through and installed RC1 then figured out how to get 4.1.9 working but it's got bugs the previous release didn't have.
My custom menu items don't work like they should. The items to direct to various video folders still don't work like they did in Frodo. Now the custom backgrounds based on a smart playlist don't work. This is frustrating. Gorgeous skin that did everything I could think of asking it in Frodo just seems broken now. Wish there was some way I could help but it's just not in my realm. Hope things improve though.

I don't know if the direct link to video folders will ever be fixed, but that can easily be replaced by creating a smart playlist for that folder. It's a one minute fix. This might be a Gotham issue, you know. Maybe links to video folders have been removed. Smart playlists are the preferred route to do what you are doing. I use the Smart Playlist Manager to get random fanart for a specific video playlist. That works the same as it always has.
The bugs I see that are important are the problems upgrading the skin (blank screens), the extended info error and a few issues with mods not working as seamlessly as they should (cd art, box sets, video OSD). The skin is far from broken though. I've tested 10 other skins and none are as feature-rich and slick as this skin.
I wish warlion would spend one more week fixing the remaining issues and put out a "release version" so the few that are having problems don't have to worry about what version they are using.

I'm not sure why it's better or easier or prefered to use smart playlists to simply direct a menu option to open a specific folder? To me it's much easier to use this method and it worked very well in Frodo. Having to create a new smart playlist, install another media scraper, scrap a folder I routinely dump new videos into that are not my main media and then link it all to the menu item isn't a 1 minute fix. If it actually works. I have 3 menu items like this, 1 for movie trailers that I've downloaded, 1 for the cartoons I use as a part of my CE and the last for random videos I want to watch through XBMC. None of this needs to be added to my library by some scraper, have meta data created or anything lie that. Again how it used to work was simple and easy. How it's being described to work now isn't.
*** I was able to 'fix' the background for smart playlist menu items by going into the smart playlist manager and 'remaking' the playlist. This brought up the proper background art. Still nothing to get folders to work right though

I won't argue with you on ease-of-use. But I know the whole XBMC infrastructure is based around media that can be scraped. Otherwise, any DLNA-compliant device could play these files. The point of XBMC is to enrich digital files with metadata and fanart from the Internet. That is the content they are interested in supporting.
Other media can be used, but workarounds provided by the community must be used to work with the system provided. The "JustUseTheFileName" scraper being the simplest option to include any old video that does not have available metadata. Install it and set it to scan the folder recursively and it will find any files added in the future. The content should auto-update. Then create a playlist for that folder and you're ready to go. I've done this with random porn files and it works fine. The titles just look funky in some skins.

Warlion has not posted in a few days, it could be something has come up in real life that he has to deal with (I hope if there is something has come up, it isn't serious) and will return when he can (remember he isn't getting paid to do this skin and it isn't his job) - it is too early to be writing this skin off guys - give it time
For something that none of us have paid for, I consider this skin works exceptionally well

I agree. I thought something had happened to him as he was posting several times daily for over a month. It wasn't impatience.
Looking at warlion's profile, he was on yesterday but hasn't posted in one week. He is also working on another skin (which is in the concept stage) and just bought an Intel NUC. He's probably busy and hopefully not dead. He had mentioned the skin was near finished and still has a few bugs that are annoying but could be fixed in a few days. Like most, now that Gotham has been released, I'd prefer to download a final copy and use it until the next version of XBMC is released.
I am also a champion of this skin because it makes XBMC more fun to use. Without it, there are options in Mediaportal that sometimes look more appealing to me. The XBMC developers would be wise to showcase Aeon Nox in its current form because of its customization options. They are always trying to sway users from other programs, and for many, Aeon Nox is one of the reasons they keep coming back.

I am using textures as the moment due to two of the problems in the above pic. (2 and 3)
1.Which file do i need to alter and where to change the colored ribbon into the gold star.
2. when using individual files these 2 pictures for original ad inverted do not appear. only the text appears.
3. also when using individual files, when i go down to select this setting the icon vanishes..
I dont mind using individual files if theese errors can be fixed

Anyone else having issues with CDWall when playing back music in full screen? I just get a black screen...
1st - HTPC Gotham Beta 4 Aeon Nox 4.1.9.9
2nd - Gaming Rig Gotham RC1 Aeon Nox 4.1.9.9
Rather odd, Aeon Nox 5 worked fine with CD Wall.
