Hmm. I have just finished watching a 1h30m mkv-file (Lost S04E13-E14) and after about 40 minutes it start to hiccup -- only the videodata, not the audio. It can't be fixed after that, even when stopping the video or even exiting and restarting XBMC -- I have to reboot the computer in order to fix the problem.

Seems to me like there's a memory leak somewhere in XBMC when playing mkv?

I think this port is in real beta status, I think that it will take a little time to be stable as the xbox version Smile

btw I have just finished to see the latest episode of lost (on xbox xbmc Big Grin) and I can't wait to see the 5th season (January 2009 Sad)

for the high CPU usage, see the link below. It helped with my setup.

CPU Usage Fix

regarding your second issue, are you working with a dual monitor? if yes, i think it'll always show full screen on your primary monitor, try changing the primary to your LCD screen.

Thank you very much for your support.

That's for nvidia, i have an ATI card Sad

I can't choose my second display as the primary one... i have a 19" for the desktop and another 32" for watching films. Isn't there any other way to output XMBC directly to that screen?

sorry that didn't help...couldn't find any fix for the ATI either...for your monitor, maybe you can just mirror what's displaying on your primary monitor onto your secondary.

...about to configure everything on new HTPC...before I do, we're not expecting a new compilation shortly, are we?

Thanks for the link, but I've been happily using XBMC for 3 years...I just switched from an Xbox to a PC for performance improvements.

@daviduco, what does MediaPortal have to do with XBMC for Windows?
...you do know that they are not the same thing right?

Playing movie thats archived in rars that are named moviepart01.rar -> moviepart53.rar is impossible.

seems it can only parse the movie if the archive has a single *.rar file

this build seems to have problems playing video files encoded in film frame rate.

this is the log from choppy playback from a video file. the "buffering" text constantly appears on bottom of screen during playbeck

heres a log for same video file, once encoded to 25 frames /sec with audio just stipped and remuxed.

i forgot to add, that the 25 frames/sec file seems to play back fine
