Yeah, it's a pretty good site...It's good for finding images to use as a basis for fanart when nothing else can be found.

Can someone answer a really dumb question for me that I just can't find anywhere else?

If I want to manage my own artwork and extrathumbs (thumb, extrathumb, and fanart), what is the folder/location and hierarchy for all 3 of them? Naming convention? Etc...I know I can manually select fanart and thumb in the interface but not these, so I may as well do it all manually. What's the proper location and naming convention?

Just what I needed. Thanks. I'm using Plex on a Mac Mini, doesn't look like that can allow me to manage my own Fanart -- Or am I mistaken?

I tried both just the name fanart.jpg in the film's folder, and also Filmname-fanart.jpg and no dice.

It would be nice to manually manage all this stuff for those rare cases where I need to reformat or lose the library for some reason (or move files around, etc).

Try the Plex forums? In XBMC it is fanart.jpg or <moviename>-fanart.jpg.

Last I heard they disabled in in Plex as there was some sort of major slowdown due to it, but I'm gonna check back with them as a new build showed last nite.

Thanks.

The first download link appears to be non-functional (once you click 'Click here to start download..') - can someone please re-upload?

Thanks.

Not archived, but they're all up there. Use "DownloadThemAll" or something.

Thanks very much Rick - grabbed them (and the backdrops!) via wget.

Thanks again!

No problem.

Thanks a bunch for those thumbs and backdrops. Most excellent!

Another extrathumbs collection - sentinel41 - 2009-06-18

Another collection of 310 extrathumbs artwork. There is some overlap with djh's collection, but the fair majority is new. Just a heads up, I don't use the default directory structure for the images. All of my extrathumbs are in 1 folder, separate from all the movies. I do this because I have offline content on a server that I only turn on when I need something from it, so I have all my art on the HTPC. This means you'll have to add the /extrathumbs/ folder yourself.

You're movie library needs to be organized so each film is in its own folder. Then create a folder named "extrathumbs" (without quotes) in each. Place the images in that folder, named "thumb1.jpg", "thumb2.jpg" etc.

Example:
Code:
-Movies
---Die Hard
     Die Hard.avi
    ---extrathumbs
         thumb1.jpg
         thumb2.jpg
---Scarface
     Scarface.avi
    ---extrathumbs
         thumb1.jpg
         thumb2.jpg
---Wanted
     Wanted.avi
    ---extrathumbs
         thumb1.jpg
         thumb2.jpg
