what happen when i play 1080 movie on a 720p TV? - orenmi - 2009-10-06

do i loose some of the image on top and bottom or is it fitted on the screen?

you probably mean 720p? - .. if you feed a 1080p signal into a TV that doesnt support it you will most likely have a blank screen.... if your playing a 1080p rip through XBMC it will scale the source down to the resolution you have set as far as I'm aware.

oh great.
do you think that a scaled down 1080 image will look better than a 720 image on a 720 TV?

no.

If you get real close to the display, no. At 1-2 meters you can't tell the difference.
