- Background - 2010-01-01
Hi,
have installed XBMC on my HTPC using the Onboard Solution --> ATI 4200 HD.
Now having three problems:
1. Playing with the DSPlayer my screen is black. I could only hear the audio signal. Video = black
2. Where in the ATI CCC i could find the activation of GPU acceleration? Using the last Version 9.12.
3. I have read many different threads where to put in the command line (first site of this thread) but without success. Advancedsettings.xml in ../userdata/ ? or somewhere else? DSPlayer is not the default player.I have something else to delete also?

PS: can't wait for tiben's next release, i compiled the latest XBMC.exe by myself but i used the ressources from this release: http://www.multiupload.com/DMQSSP4TKK because the buildsetup.bat doesn't work for me properly.
Dsplayer error for some MKV"s - luxmen - 2010-01-01
Hi,
I have problem for some movies with DSplayer.
Some mkv's movies don't start with DSplayer but work fine with DVDplayer
Other mkv's files wotk fine with DSplayer .....

first of all you need to post a full debug log this way

The problem is simple as its your french
the special character "é" make the video crash you can confirm by moving the file into a directory with no é. But im pretty sure its the problem

- I understood that for Win 7 the build 25915 ist lasst correct for Win 7.
- Now i have read from you that the advancedsettings.xml must be put into the AppData... sry
- I download now the 25915 build.
Later i will also post you the logs if i have problems.

No There many stuff that has been fixed in the new release in rendering stability if you have problem with win 7 on last build you can post a debug log if your running an old build dont even bother to post a debug log

It should be compatible i tested on my windows 7 platform and it perfectly render with dxva and dont event crash if i toggle fullscreen to windowed 20 times in a row

Wtf with this ERROR: exception in CApplication::FrameMove()
I dont understand how i cant reproduce this bug in any way. For the people with problem running windows 7 and dsplayer and your getting the error
CApplication::FrameMove can you verify if your getting this line too

seems the seek freezings are not fixed.
when seeking the movie with , or . XBMC freeze and i don't have a chance to return to the desktop, STRG+alt+entf, ALT+F4, win-key, nothing helps... except pressing reset or power button 5 secs...
PS: not the whole computer freezes, only XBMC does, its still in fullscreen and there is no chance to get it off.

Great work tiben20. CPU Usage (using a Athlon II 240, 2x 2.8 Ghz, testing a 1080p File) drops from ~ 65% to 18%.
Only thing i miss is the selection of the audio tracks.
With the DVDPlayer i could select different audio tracks, with the DSPlayer i see only 1. Selection is not possible.
